This spring I was priveledged to visit the Brice canyon area of Utah.
One on the areas that I really wanted to see was the petrified forest.
The brochure said it was an easy 1 mile hike. No problem. I can do that even In the condition my knee was in. The problem came when that trail head, undetermined in length was longer than the trail itself. Not only that, but it was at a significant incline, not quite straight up because it zig-zagged back and forth. Part way up I realized that I was not as capable as I should have been. I even had to stop and rest on a boulder before I reached the trail.
I survived, but knew then that I had to find a way to get back to the place where I could do what I still wanted.
I am believing that the 60 day summer challenge will be just the motivation I need to achieve the maximum level of physical fitness!
