Need Breakfast Ideas -- Protein too

I am trying to change what I am eating for the next couple of weeks. What is everyones favorite breakfast.
I am going to try and eat more of my foods earlier in the day. I found that I ate such good lunches and suppers that I had lots of calories left at the end of the day and was eating popcorn and wine at 10 PM.
They were in my calorie range but I haven't been losing any weight so I thought I would try something different.
Anyone want to share a favorite breakfast or lunch

    I eat oatmeal with cinnamon, V8 strawberry/banana Fusion Drink, hard boil eggs, fruit salad, and dried fruit with walnuts and almonds.

This is what I eat for my morning breakfast.

Also, I have smoothies and greek yogurt.

    I eat most of my calories in the morning. DH fixes my breakfast while I go for my morning walk. He fixes me oatmeal with pumpkin, raisins, prunes, bananas, pecans and cinnamon. I tease him he makes a fruit salad with oatmeal holding it together. It is high in calories, but stays with me and since all I userly want for dinner is a salad, I need the extra calories.

    My breakfasts don't change much from one day to the next. It takes me a long time to get my act together in the morning. I get up, get a bowl of cold cereal (Special K, puffed wheat, shredded wheat are my regular choices) and two cups of coffee. I usually add a serving of fresh fruit to my cereal and feel quite pleased with myself when I choose strawberries or blueberries instead of the usual banana. (I have a hard time working milk into my daily menu so the cereal for breakfast is really important to me.)
Then - and only then - I'm ready to face the world.
It's not that I don't like mornings; I think they should be welcomed with reverance and quiet gratitude.

New month New beginning

I love the beginning of a new month because it is almost like you can rip the page off and get a fresh start.
Tomorrow after Church I am going to look at some vegetables and fruits that I usually don't buy.
I am going back to one of my favorites, boiled vegetables for lunch. I put an ounce of feta cheese on them so that I have some protein.
I am going to try to have a larger breakfast. I just read the article that if you eat 500 calories for breakfast you lose more weight. That is one of my problems. I eat such low calorie lunch and dinners that I have too many left over at he end of the day so I use them up on wine and crackers and popcorn. It would be better I think to use them up for breakfast.

    Good insight Peggy, Aren't the articles here on Spark great? Seems you can find one for just about any issue you deal with. I usually have a decent breakfast. I have trouble with lunches and then not eating too much for dinner. A new month and new ways to do something......good going girl!!!

    I hear you. My breakfast is usually only 250-300 calories and by lunch I am hungary. Need to reverse that strategy.

Stayed the same, once again

I was 173 again. When am I every going to be 163. I haven't been in the 160's since June and I am really getting discouraged.
I am really watching and measuring. Something has to go.
What, does anybody have any ideas of what they do to start losing again?

    Its also possible you aren't eating enough or are exercising too much. It is all about balance. Keep trying!

    Hi Peggy, You are probably at a plateau. There are 3 articles called Plateau busters in the spark people articles. Read them and you make get some ideas on how to get over your Plateau. Do not give up! Cheri

Still Tracking

I am enjoying writing down the reasons why I am eating what I am eating. This morning while my oatmeal was cooking, I opened the jar of peanut butter to add a Tablespoon to the oatmeal when I ran my finger around the top edge and ate some right out of the jar.
I adjusted the amount I had been planning to eat to include that automatic eating.
At least I am becoming aware of these extra bites.

    Isn't it amazing how quickly our extra bites add up? Good for you on honestly tracking it! This was a hard thing for me to realize that every taste counts

Recommitting

Here I am once again recommitting to getting away from 169-172

I am writing everything I eat in my book as well as on the food tracker.
I am trying to do my exercises a little differently.
I am getting up and walking around more. I try to take more steps to do the same job.

    You can do it Peggy! Sometimes it takes a "starting over" decision to make the changes we need! I have to do that every so often! Just keep at it!
