I weighed in at 168.8 today - 1 pound from last week. I am finally below 169 and I promise to do my best this week to keep the downward trend.
We are leaving on Friday for a three day drive to NY but I am still going to get some steps in and do my strength exercises.
I will keep going down.

I went to a Princess House party at my girlfriends today and I saw that she had a treadmill. I walked on it for a while before the party started and that also kept me away from the food. I made my 10,000 steps again today and I usually take the weekends off from walking.

    Hey way to go! I wear my pedometer everyday. I don't like leaving home without it. I try to get 10,000 or more steps a day also. It pays off.

Today I decided to make stepping goals for myself. I want to have 5000 steps in by lunch time.
After I have been sitting for a while I am getting up and walking around the house. I even went outside and walked around the cul de sac.
I want to have 8000 steps by dinnertime and then I will get the other 2000 in after dinner.
So now I have a plan.

Thanks so much for sharing your logging/tracking techniques with me...and I do that with tasting, too, especially if it's something that normally wouldn't be part of my program - something a little too sweet or rich :) I love your idea of setting up stepping goals for yourself! I don't know what is wrong with me. If I am challenged to do something here than I have to do it.
The arthritis in my left foot has been bothering me since last Friday and yet I keep walking the 10,000 steps of the challenge.
It was starting to get a little better today and I was helping an older friend take down her Christmas decorations above her kitchen cabinets. I was walking across the countertops and I had forgotten that the counter dropped down about 6 inchs to form her desk and I stomped down on my left foot.
Now it is really bothering me enough to call my doctor who told me to double my medicine. and yet I continued to walk around and around the house until I was up to 10,054 steps.
At least we get one day off on the weekend.


More Steps

I'm proud of myself. I did10,000 steps two days in a row. I have been doing more steps than ever but I never was making sure to pass a certain number. I know that I won't be able to do this all the time but I think that after this week of challenge is over I will set a number of steps that I want to complete and see if I can work myway up to a higher number.
I just walked around and around outside of my house down past the next two neighbors until I had enough steps.

    Good for you! I'm not quite half done with my 10,000 steps for the day. Not sure if I'll have the energy to make it after I get home from work.
