Well, we're back from the wedding. It was cold and rainy when we got to the gondola to go up the mt. It was 41 there and 37 up on the mt. We went up and when we got near the top the wind started to blow us back and forth. We got to the top and there was a restaurant. The wedding was supposed to be outside on the lawn but they changed it to the deck right outside the restaurant. The lady in the restaurant told us we couldn't sit in the restaurant we had to go outside but no one listened to her. It wasn't like there were any customers in the restaurant.
When the wedding party were on their way up in the gondola they told us to wait outside for them. We went out and somebody handed me a clear raincoat from the $ store. It was like a skinny plastic bag with a hood. The wind picked up at that moment and was blowing the mist sideways and umbrellas were turning inside out. We went inside again until we actually saw the wedding party and then we went back out. After they came outside we went back in and watched through the window. We were right up in front and could see much better than when we were outside. We couldn't hear everything but we could see and we were warm.
As soon as the wedding party came in the door after the ceremony was finished, I followed them right out to the gondola and we were on the next one down. Jodi and Dave were in the back and I called them up front with us. My sister, the mother of one of the grooms jumped on our gondola and she grabbed the photographer so we got to see the pictures of the wedding. He took great pictures. I don't know how he did it.
I wore my green raincoat with liner over my fancy wedding dress and shawl and I had on pantyhose and my black leather sneakers. Of course I had on a matching green hat. A lot of the women had nothing on their legs and high heels with open toes. They were really freezing.
Jodi has an automatic starter on her car so she started it from the gondola so it would warm up.
When we got to the wedding reception I changed into my sandals and switched to my black hat that went with my black dress. One of Geoff's friends even noticed that I switched hats.
The wedding reception was great. I danced for over an hour and put more than 3000 steps on my pedometer.
Now we are back home and all tucked in for the night.
