Thanksgiving

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

We passed a Church on I81 in our travels today and they always seem to have interesting things on their Information Sign in front of the Church. Todays sign said

Be thankful for what you have as well as what you don't have.

Going Home

Thursday, October 21, 2010

WEll, we are getting the car packed and getting ready for our trip back to Florida starting on Saturday.
Jerrys back is improving and he drove up to Adins tonight to test it out.
Adin was 7 today and he has really changed our lives over the past seven years. Who knew that you could have so much love for one little guy. I think when I had our children there wasn't enough time in the day to know how great they were.
I will continue on my journey on my downward spiral of weight loss and hope to have you all follow me

I'm setting a goal

Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Today 10/20/10 I weighed 159.6. When I started Spark People back in 2003 or so right after Adin was born I weighed 206.
He will be 7 tomorrow

My friend Mary (Mastercare) wrote a blog today that really inspired me.
I am going to set a goal.
I never paid much attention to that before but I want to weigh 149 by 1/1/11.

I am not going to start in the New Year I am going to continue my downward spiral. I am going to mix up my exercise and not do the same old thing. I am going to try new foods and new ways of doing things.

Plan for the rest of July

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

We are traveling home to Florida and I am making a plan for the rest of the month.
I am going to add some pool exercises to my routine 2 days a week.

I am not going to save so many calories for nighttime because I am usually full but eat them anyway.

I am going to eat only if I am hungry not because I saw the food in the refrigerator or on the counter.

I am going to work on my genealogy at least 3 times a week.

I am going to eat more fruits and vegetables. If I am hungry that is what I will eat.

I am going to do some heavy cleaning for 30 minutes each day during the week. It doesn't have to be all at once. It could be in 3 10 minutes segments.

Great plan for July. I like the one about not leaving calories for the nighttime. I do that sometimes with fiber. Don't get enough during the day so I try to eat it at night just to get it in. Now I am trying to space my eating out throughout the day.

Good luck with your plan!

From what I read, your plan is realistic and do-able. I know you can follow through and report back at the beginning of August about your success!

Waiting for Results

Wednesday, July 07, 2010

We just got back from the Neurologists and our daughter Jenn is having a 48 hour EEG. They are trying to find out what is causing her confusion.
The Doctor who reads the test is on vacation so it will be 2 weeks before we know the results. We are headed back to our home in Florida a week from today so her brother will have to take her to hear the results. I guess we'll take it from there. This waiting is going on a long time now but I guess it is what we have to do.
I think that I am changing my lifestyle becasue all of this tension isn't causing me to eat. I hope it stays that way.
Please keep us all in your prayers. It's nice to be remembered.

I am praying for you. It doesn't seem far that they can't give timely results for the tests knowing that it will cause the families to have needless hours of worry. Stay strong.
