A New Year

Today is the first day of boot camp and I am posting my measurements so that I will have something to look back at.

Weight 172
Waist 40
Hips 45
neck 13.75
Right thigh 20.5

Of course when I was measuring I didn't even know wherer to measure my hips. I hope that I measure in the same place next time. I never really paid much attention to my measurements in a long time but this time I am.

I will continue to write down in my notebook everything that I am eating for the month of January. This is only the third day but it has kept me from tasting the cheese while I was making the macaroni and cheese. I also measured things like the walnuts I added to my oatmeal and the peanut butter. I know that this is where I have been getting lots of extra calories.
Wish me luck. I am going to break through into the 160's and downward.

    I am with you Peggy!!! I want to break into the 160's as well....but that scale is going in the wrong direction. Need to make my Boot camp entry and challenge for today. Good luck!! Let's do this together!! emoticon

Drinking Water

I just realized that I was not drinking as much water as I thought. I have three different bottles that I drink from but I was not finishing them so I was getting much less water. I started today to finish all three bottles.
This is probably one of the reasons that I have been not losing weight.
I also started writing down what I eat. I put it on the food tracker but then I leave all the bites and licks out because I can't figure out how to include them in the food tracker.
I just have to continue my water and my writing.
I'll report back in one week which will be Thanksgiving.

    water is definately a plus. I go through phases where I do real good on drinking water and then I reverse direction & can't seem to get it in no matter what i do. I think water does help you feel full longer so I try to drink lots of it but it just doesn't always work out that way.

I think as long as you're at least getting a little bit in & still continue to should do just fine.

    You can include tea as a liquid - I usually start my day with a huge glass of water, then carry 36 oz of tea to work. So by the end of the work day, I've consumed about 6 or 7 cups of water. (I also have water in the mini-fridge in my office.) Then, I have about 4 more cups of water before bedtime. It does make a difference. Plus it makes your complexion look wonderful - a bonus!!!!

    It's good that you caught yourself in time. They say drinking 2 l. or 8 cups of plain water is a must every day and now that summer is upon us I don't have any problem in doing it. You're now in Florida, so it's warmer than in NY, so make sure you finish your 3 bottles. emoticon
As far as those little bites and licks I have the same problem. What to do?
Let's make sure we both drop weight by next Wed. weigh in.

New week

This week will be another great one. I can feel it in my bones. I am planning what I am eating in the morning and staying within my calorie range. I am walking more steps and becoming more active.

Stepping out in September

I want to make changes in my life and September was always a big time for change for me.
I am going to start stepping out more. 8000 steps Monday-Friday but I am aiming for 10000.
Saturday and Sunday I'll aim for 5000. I usually only get between 2500 and 3000.

I made my page yellow because I never liked the color yellow but I am going to try new things.
