Been there for a few months now. Well not quite maintenance because I've continued to lose very slowly. Need to eat a little more and possibly exercise a little less (this is hard) though overall I'm very happy with the way it's going. It's now just about lifestyle and I love my new lifestyle (which isn't exactly new anymore).

  It is so hard. It's almost like you don't dare to eat more becuase your afraid you will gain weight. I would like to hear how you started mainteance. Did you add just a few calories each day? I was thinking about adding a hundred calories per day and then seeing the result and then add another hundred the next week until I stabilized. I just don't don't don't want to gain any of it back.

Today the scale is my friend as I notch up a 40lb loss. Just 8 lbs to go now until I reach my target weight. These last few pounds have been slower but that hasn't bothered me too much, I just keep doing what I'm doing and it's working. I feel great.

Tomorrow I have to go to the City, London no less, where I will have to breathe in the polluted air and 'make' opportunities to excercise. I'd much rather stay home and go to the gym at work. Life's a.........................................

    If you're travelling by tube, you could always get out a stop early and walk the rest! I also find London unappealing, but I hope it's just for a few days.

    Wow! You have a challenge and it is not even a sparkpeople challenge. London is a city that can motivate you to move and think perhaps of the money you will come home with by stepping out and doing what is required of you. Life is not always filled with desires;however if we make it a required benefit then discouragement is wiped away.

Gym Time

Joined the gym at work today so that I can get my excercise whatever the weather now that the autumn seems to be here. It has all the equipment anyone could need, cross-trainers, rowing machines, treadmills, free-weights etc and it's available 24/7 for just 10 per year.

Looking forward to my first session tomorrow.

    Wow! I am excited for you. Sacrificing your time and money for a get fit and healthy lifestyle can be worth it. You have support if you need it to be an active participant at the gym. You have taken the 1st step joining now be sure and take that 2nd step take action and be active in the gym. If you need a motivating push that is where your sparkfriends help.
