Fat to Fit Challenge

12 Week Fat to Fitness Challenge at work! Just got weighed and calipered!
I went from 23.3% of body fat to 16.9 meaning that I LOST {{{{{{ 6.4% body fat}}}}}}
That is the equivalent of 12 fat weight lbs!
I gained 4 lbs of lean muscle!
I lost ALL the fat on my arms ( she said I have none now!) and made a significant dent on the belly fat!
She tells me that I am in the athletic build category now and I will keep making strides. She said I did EXCELLENT! WHOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Managed a holiday dinner with family pretty well!

I had a wonderful day! I started out with a light breakfast and 1/2 sandwich for lunch. Then some ice water and a book on my sisters sunny deck. When it came time for dinner, I actually enjoyed my meal without overindulging and then volunteered for all the cleanup which got me moving again. My calorie count for the day was at the high end of normal with my fat grams just a tad high. I actually had a couple of light cocktails for the first time in a long time! I love my new "lifestyle" and do not feel deprived at all. I am finally eating healthy and allowing room for things I want in moderation. I am very aware of what I eat instead of mindless eating. Life is good!

I am looking forward to my low cal salad at 1:00 and especially looking forward to dinner with friends tonight at a Mexican Restaurant. Thanks to this wonderful site I can actually plan ahead and have the occasional dinner out! I now know how to eat better and substitute foods and still have fun and the occasional treat. God I love the spark!

Hi, I started this in 2007 but apparently not seriously enough! I was content to read the articles occasionally etc and I really did get alot out of it. However, after gaining even more weight over time I changed the way I look at things. I am now seriously using all of the wonderful resources available at Sparkpeople. I can honestly say I am becoming addicted to logging in daily and eating healthy. I am seeing results in just the first two weeks. I find it very encouraging and helpful. Even if you read through the articles and hints and it takes you a while to commit DO NOT DESPAIR! It is there when you are serious and ready. I couldn't be more pleased! This is one of the best informative sites I have ever found. Thank you to all the wonderful encouraging people! I LOVE THE SPARK! emoticon

    Thanks for all the encouragement. Getting back on track after Superbowl weekend. I think I gained one lb. That will not stop me though. Next week will be better!

    I too started here back in 07 and just now really getting into it. It took me this long because of lack of motivation. Now that I am a bridesmaid in my cousins wedding Im finally getting motivated to drop the weight. Good Luck !!!
