Updates on Life

Thursday, November 05, 2009

A friend will be passing away today. He chose today. He will be turning off the respirator which has kept him alive for many yrs. I celebrate his life today. He had a party last weekend and invited his friends to come and say their goodbyes. How would you like to do that? you get the chance to say I Love you to those you love! He has lived a good life but has had many many health problems in the last several months. He had ALS. My dad had this as well, and passed in 1996.

Yesterday was the 2nd yr anniversary of my Mom's passing. I remember her with many happy memories and all the things she had taught me while here with us. I celebrate her life! She lived a long life of 78 yrs and helped so many other along the way. I hope my family and friends can say that about me when my time has come as well.

An undate on my father in law who had a brain tumor removed last month. He is doing well. I went down to Georgia to visit him the weekend after his surgery. He went home from the Hospital after 4 days! My mother in law called it "drive in brain surgery!" He did have a small set back with an infection after a couple weeks. He went back to the hospital for a few days , got treatment and has now returned home to complete his recovery. He was soo soo happy we came to see him after his surgery. He told us how much he loved us. He also told me how good he thought I was for his son! How cool is that! A lot of people have troubles with their inlaws , not me! I love them dearly!

Life goes on, I need to work harder on getting healthy for myself. Another strange thing happend last week. My Easter Lily bloomed ! I thought those only bloomed in the spring or summer? My bloomed again on Halloween! Just a reminder of all the beauty that God has given us in our lives. May everyone have a Blessed Day! Pam

Update on Father in law

Monday, October 05, 2009

My father in law "Joseph" is heading into surgery within the hour. Keep him in your prayers for me. My hubby and I are 12 hrs away from there, but will be going to visit him this weekend. I pray that God watching over him and the doctors who are attending to him. I will keep you updated on how well the surgery goes. They thought he was in the early stages of Alzheimers and found the brain tumor. So they no longer think he has Alzheimers, but the brain tumor was creating the problems. More updates to follow as I know more,
Thanks Pam

Reflections on Life

Tuesday, September 08, 2009

Do you ever wonder what if? if I hadn't overeaten most of my life I wouldn't be where I am today. if I hadn't developed those bad habits from years ago. if I had done this instead of that, what if?

If I would have taken a different path in life, I would not be where I am today. I would not have met my husband. I would not have the wonderful inlaws and all the relatives that come with them! I do not regret the things I've done in my past. I have the power to change my future of my health.
My reflections of my life hold a lot of good happy memories. Sooo Sooo many I have captured with my own photography. God has been good to me in many ways.

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life. I pray I will continue on this healthy journey I have worked on this year. IN 2010 I want to look back at the reflections of 2009, where I've been and how far I have come.
