A Good Day

Sunday night after getting home I was starving and couldn't stop snacking. I hadn't done that in months but I guess these things happen. I just knew that Monday would be a better day. It was sunny and warm so I went out for what turned out to be a 2 hour walk, about double the time I usually go for. A few hours later since the sun was still shining, I gardened for over an hour before dinner. I wanted to take advantage of the great weather and it felt good to be so active after the 'night before'. I also stayed on track food wise today and it's amazing how one day can differ so much from another. Another reason not to get too down on yourself when you've had a slip-up!

Progress Not Perfection

I use the above saying to keep me balanced when I've put weight back on like I have in the last week. With Easter indulgences and a euchre night out with the ladies I'm up about 5 pounds from my goal weight. Today was a good day with an hour-long walk and gardening to perk me up after a late night out. Hopefully getting back on track. Remember progress not perfection!

Well it's been quite a day as I finally got down to 126 pounds, a drop of 51 pounds since mid-July 2011! WOO-HOO.! Even though my weight has fluctuated upwards during vacations, family events & holidays, I know I now have the tools at my disposal on SP to get my weight back down to target. I'm feeling much more energetic and try to do 60 minutes of some kind of exercise daily. I still track my food and exercise daily as much as possible as a discipline and check that I'm still on track.

My BMI has gone from 33 in the obese range to 23 in the normal range! I can't wait to get back to my doctor where hopefully my blood pressure and cholesterol have also gone back to normal.

Also picked up a brand new Camry today as my 12-year old car was really starting to get expensive. So a rather expensive reward but a reward nonetheless.

Daylight Savings Time Change

I don't know why I have such trouble with this one hour time change but I do! It was sleepless in Toronto on Sunday night but Monday was much better because I was exhausted. I was hopeful on Tuesday night but it was 3 am before I finally started to fall asleep. Guess tonight should be a good one as I've gone for a 1-hour walk, done some light gardening and curled tonight. Here's hoping!


Getting Back to Normal

Getting caught up on email, grocery shopping and other tasks after the funeral and arrangements last week. Nice to sleep in a bit on the weekend and get some of my energy back. Starting to get back into my weekly exercise routines which should help keep me on track. Heading off to bed shortly as still catching up on my sleep.
