Mission 300 - Failure is NOT an Option - 87 Days Left
Weight this AM: 325
Calories for Day: 1865
Exercise Calories: 500 (Fitness Trail - 2 Laps), Strength training (no calories tracked)
Rookie Runner Training Program: Week 2 Day 1 Saturday!

Added this blurb after typing the rest of this. After work I met my friend Bob and gave him my clothes that no longer fit. We support each other although he is doing Medifast (Dr. care). He has lost over 50 pounds and is not at 375. We talked about some of the new found benefits of losing weight.

Work was quiet again. My productivity drops in non-crisis situations. Not sure why that is the case but I perform best under pressure. I am a IT person - not really a developer and not really a manager - sort of in between type person. Right now I am working on Business Process Management Automation. We spent a lot of money on a software tool and things are not going well. I am now tasked with turning things around and getting the software stabilized and working. Vice President and directors are stakeholders in this. Think I'd be under pressure but I am making great progress and ahead of schedule. Enough about work.

Wife and I are watching a horror flick on TV. I am incredibly lucky - after 16 years I am still very much in love with her even if her movie choices leaves a lot to be desired.

The girls are watching a high school play at the high school of course.

The dogs are taking their post dinner nap.

Had left over cabbage and ham - My digestive system is not happy.

I am motivated, driven and focused. I am also one day closer to the "Happy Dance" video.

No Excuses - Paul
I will succeed!

Mission 300 - Failure is NOT an Option - 88 Days Left
Weight this AM: 325
Calories for Day: 2025
Exercise Calories: 1100 (Rookie Running Day 3 (350), Elliptical (500) & Fitness Trail (250))
Rookie Runner Training Program: Completed Week 1!!! On to Week 2 Day 1 Saturday!

Quiet day at work on this very nice Spring day. I came home and played catch with my twins while waiting for dinner. Deborah made cabbage, potatoes, carrots and lean ham. I had my elfin shortcake (elfin cookies, strawberries & cool whip lite). I know the cookies and cool whip are not good choices.

I spent way too much time on SparkPeople today. Like I said it was a quiet day.

Twins are hyper - Mom is letting them buy mp3 songs but Mom is looking at the lyrics first.

Oh yeah - I thought I was having corn beef so I entered today's weight into SparkPeople this morning figuring the salt would mess up tomorrow's reading. I have officially lost 50 pounds thanks to SparkPeople bringing out something in me that I did not think I had in me.

Have a great night!!! emoticon

Mission 300 - Failure is NOT an Option - 89 Days Left
Weight this AM: 324
Calories for Day: 2332
Exercise Calories: 600 + Strenth Workout
Rookie Runner Training Program: No workout scheduled

I intentionally ate more calories today. Losing a lot of weight this week and I want to make sure I am fueled for tomorrow's workout (running program + elliptical). Maybe a 1000 calorie workup in the works.

I did strenth training, 15 min elliptical and fitness trail (1.7mi) today. Tomorrow AM - repeat of Week1 Day3 of running program followed by elliptical plus a fitness trail walk in the afternoon.

Other than that - not much is going on. Everything is going good and I am motivated, driven and focused. I am also one day closer to the "Happy Dance" video. Maybe I'll do the dance in my underwear then again, maybe not.

I will succeed!

Let me be the first to vote for the 'not in your underwear' option on the happy dance! Good call on adding a few calories today, got to keep that fire stoked up or it will turn to a smolder. Keep up the great work Paul.

Mission 300 - Failure is NOT an Option - 90 Days Left

Weight this AM: 326
Days to Go: 90
Calories for Day: 1850
Exercise Calories: 741
Rookie Runner Training Program: Completed Week1 - repeating workout 3 Thursday

I'll increase my calories if I lose more than 3 pounds a week starting next week. I assuming I am dropping some water this week (332 down to 326 in 4 days).

Today I completed Week 1 - Workout 3 of the Rookie Running Program. I'll repeat this workout on Thurday and do Week 2 - Workout 1 on Saturday. Think I am going to keep Sat - Tues - Thurs for Running Program and Mon - Weds - Fri for Strength. Elliptical Moderate Mon & Weds and 1000 Calorie workout on Fri. Fitness trail walks on every day that weather cooperates.

I ate a mango today. A tasty fruit with one wierd pit. I also had left over tofu alfredo which I thought was better today than it was on Sunday. Dinner was lacking - Great tasting rice dish but by the time I got home not much was left - just 1 serving and some green beans. To up my calorie count I had elfins topped with fresh strawberries and coolwhip. (No Biscuit so I improvised and use animal crackers). Oh yeah - Sarah was disappointed the alfredo left overs were gone.

Special treat for my Spark Friends. A new picture taken tonight. I'll also add an earlier picture for comparision.

I am the one on the right in these pictures. The lady on the left is the love of my life and wife Deborah.

Take Care - Paul

This is the first time I wore all black. One of our new hires, Darby, wears nothing but black so I declared today to be Darby day. Myself and a couple of co-workers all wore black. Darby knew about this and actually wore khakis and a blue shirt.

Another tidbit - in the fat picture - I was sucking in my gut. Always did this for photos - guess I was trying to "hide" my gut. emoticon

Mission 300 - Failure is NOT an Option - 91 Days Left

Weight this AM: 328
Days to Go: 91
Calories for Day: 1753
Exercise Calories: 700
Rookie Runner Training Program: Week 1 Day 3 Due Tues & Thurs

I ate again today. Probably a 1000 calories in veggies and fruit and that is a lot of veggies and fruits!! Chicken for dinner, Oatmeal for breakfast. Smart One dessert thing for dessert.

STRENGTH TRAINING!!!! I used the white machines at work except for 2. One was too scary and the other too hard to figure out. The other 11 machines were mastered. Two intimidating types started working out when I was so I took a break from the machines and did the elliptical for a while. They left and I finished.

I am proud of myself. I am motivated, driven and focused. I am also one day closer to the "Happy Dance" video.
