First Day of Planned Week

Monday, February 07, 2011

It's the first day of my week that I planned out last night. I've got a couple things crossed off my to-do list. It's already 9 am and I'm guessing I need to get dressed and start working a little harder on the list. I'm determined to cross everything off. I still want to have time to add things if necessary and have time to do something for me. I really want this to give me some motivation and some structure in my life.

Planning My Week

Sunday, February 06, 2011

I have a strong urge to spend a few minutes today and plan out my week well. No clue why - but I'm anxious to do it and then to evaluate how it works at the end of the week.

And plan in some extra exercise now that you have the extra time, it's a good cheap way to spend some time too.. I have volunteered at a couple of soup kitchens over the years, it always made me feel more appreciative of what I had when I saw how rough some people had it. Then you can also share your smile and kind words with them.

Restless Today

Saturday, February 05, 2011

I got up early to go to my six-month dentist appointment. I've got the start of TMJ. So, I'm waiting to find out how much the insurance company will cover for the mouth guard. Hopefully by then, I will have a job to pay for what the insurance doesn't cover.

I'm in one of those moods where I feel restless. I feel like I want to do something different and fun today. Trouble is: I have no ideas, especially since I know I have to find something that has little or no cost.

I'm going to finish my morning chores and keep my thinking cap on while I'm doing this. Might work - might not!

Patty I suffered from TMJ for 15 years and I use a mouth guard to protect my teeth from grinding during the night. I want to tell you so you don't even think of doing a dental treatment to fix it, get your neck and shoulders treated not your teeth. I spent stacks of money changing my bite and wearing a hight improving guard during the day to no avail.
Treating my neck and shoulders with a acupuncture ( also in the jaw joint) and manipulation and using the spikey ball to dissolve knots in the back ( rolling it against the wall) did the trick.
I know you didn't ask me, but I try to tell people when they mention it so they don't waste time and money.

I always like to do new fun things... One of my favorites is to walk. I love the outdoors and do a lot of walking there. But, one thing I also found, I love to walk through the malls and just window shop... It gives me the feel of splurging but, I keep my cash... I use the time to check out style and fashion. What's in and what's out... When I'm done, I had a day out, and, little spent. I usually end up getting a salad and some thing cold to drink while I am out. I get something small I purchase on my sight seeing trip... And, I get the added bonus of exercise... You just can't beat that!~... When the day is done, I feel I have done something big. Yet, with little cost... And, my fashion knowledge is increased. Talking to all the new people I meet... Getting out and having fun.. Oh yeah... One great plan.. emoticon

Helping Mom This Morning

Friday, February 04, 2011

My mom turned 80 last October and she has some health issues. So, I've been trying to spend more time with her and help her whenever I can. This morning is one of those times. She's having trouble with her car, so I'll take a look at it and go with her to take it to a shop. And I finally talked her into letter me dye her hair instead of spending so much money at a salon. It will be the first time that I've done someone else's hair, but I don't anticipate any problems. I will definitely enjoy the time with her.

Cabin Fever Setting In

Thursday, February 03, 2011

I've been off work for 11 days now. I've been cooped up in the house because of the weather since Tuesday afternoon. I'm starting to show signs of boredom and cabin fever. My motivation seems to want to wane a little. It's still bone-chilling cold outside, but the main roads are clear this morning. I must get outside a little to fight these things off and get back into a more positive mode. One thing about being inside, though, is that I always find something new or that I have forgotten about on the SP website.
