Yucky Day

Friday, January 21, 2011

I woke up late for work, forgot to allow for workday traffic and was a dollar short in my bank when I was done. I'm all wound up and need to get to bed to start all over tomorrow. Only two more days: I can do it!

Oh I DISLIKE those days !!!!!!! On the good side, the car worked,,,,,it wasn't snowing (was it???? It was here ! ANOTHER 7"s, but this ME and we are sooo used to it,,,,we just kept going).

So sorry about the bank. Not like they are kind huh? Did you catch it online b4 they charged you for the fee? I do my BEST to check my account daily (sometimes 3 times a day when it's active) to make sure I haven't done anything stupid,,,,cos I am GOOD at it !

I sure hope tomorrow is better for you !

I'm Off Schedule

Thursday, January 20, 2011

Because of my work situation so drastically changing, my schedule is all off. So, in turn, I am feeling a little off. I can't wait until Monday so I can set my schedule straight. I'm hoping by getting back on schedule, I will be able to add a few exercise and cardio routines and start feeling better about myself.

I know how easy it is to get off schedule.... we have a Family Friday every second week and it throws things off for me. What I try to do on this extra long weekend is do something special for me, like cook or prepare foods that take a little longer or that I wouldn't normally make. And taking time just for me to read helps pass the time too. And of course, bubble baths are great ways to feel good and relax...

Hope you take special time for you and relax

It takes time to make adjustments to schedules. Be kind to yourself but don't allow this to keep you from doing what must be done. Try to keep positive thoughts. We are here for you. emoticon

What Week Off?

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

I had such high hopes of accomplishing so much of my to-do list this first week of not having a job. It doesn't seem to be working yet. I've scratched off a couple things, but added more than I have scratched off. Why is that?

You are overwhelmed. Take it one chore at a time emoticon. Your mind is on your job that you don't have right now. Remember a glowing ora brings new wonderful things, as it only attracts emoticon. Hold your head up and keep the positive thinking going. I know it is hard right now but you can get through this. emoticon

I also do the same thing. Maybe we should just use the first day off as a real day off and save the other list for when we are bored being off. emoticon

I'm guilty of doing this as well. My work shuts down the week between Christmas and New Year's. My husband still works so we never travel anywhere. My list of household to-do's is a mile long and all I end up doing is nothing!

A Day Off!

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

I have my first day off in 9 days. I was able to sleep in a little more than I have been (but that's not saying much!). Now to catch up on some of the things I have been putting off. I have one doctor appointment today. I've done some laundry and caught up on my ironing. Now: what to do next? So much to do...so little time. But, if I don't have a job by next week, I will have plenty of time and not much to do. Life doesn't seem to be in balance much lately!

Long and Busy Day

Monday, January 17, 2011

Today was my third day in a row working at the North American International Auto Show. The first two days were rather slow, and I expected it to be the same today. Boy, was I wrong! We were busy from the very beginning and it didn't really let up much. I was kinda proud of myself for collecting all that money and having it $2 off to the good. (I will shoot for a right on the money on Friday, though!) Although I am sore and tired, I really enjoyed working with the public again and getting the chance to people-watch. I know I will enjoy tomorrow off even more, though, at this point. But I will be rested and ready to go back Friday.

Glad to hear you were busy at work. Busy makes the time go faster.
