The Day Went by too Fast

Monday, September 27, 2010

Although I know I didn't get enough sleep, I wasn't really tired today. I wasn't all that busy at work and I only went to the bank and for a walk after work. But, for the life of me, I don't know where the day went. No time for lounging today! I am planning on going to bed earlier tonight, though. I'm afraid it will all catch up with me and I want to be as prepared as I can. I really do need to work on getting a little more sleep, anyway. So, my new goal for the week is to get more sleep.

Getting enough sleep is so important. I seem to weigh less on the weekend morning weigh-ins after I've had an adequate amount of sleep. Good luck with your new goal.

A Few Goals Accomplished This Week

Sunday, September 26, 2010

One of my goals is to get out and be more social. I actually have joined a few groups and met a few people. I even went out last night and socialized with people I knew a little and p.eople that I met for the first time last night.

Another goal is to volunteer more in the community. I am now involved with the Outreach Committee at my church. The committee is involved with many projects in the community. There are projects right now that will allow me to feed the hungry, help homeless people, and even help people in other countries. I always find myself feeling good when I can help others. And it's the perfect chance to get to know the people at my new church better.

The biggest goal I've achieved this week is to actually say that I have a job and will have money coming in. Granted, it's only a temporary job of about two months, but...I'm getting more experience that I can put on my resume, and this may lead to other doors opening for me.

The fact that I could accomplish three goals (especially in one week) is definitely a morale and confidence booster. Both of these are really needed and appreciated at this time.

New Attitude Changes

Saturday, September 25, 2010

I am finally accomplishing one of my goals and becoming more positive about myself. I am getting more confident each day I work. My social life is becoming a LITTLE more active. I'm not entirely comfortable yet, so I know I need to work on that more. But I am seeing progress.

First Work Week is Done

Friday, September 24, 2010

I finished my first week of work today. I'm still trying to figure out how and when I'm going to fit into each day everything I want to accomplish . I went for my walk when I got home from work. I actually liked the time of day for now, because it was fairly warm and definitely still light out. The only problem I had with today's walk was the wind: 15 mph gusting to 30. Some parts were really difficult. I am looking forward to relaxing tonight and getting a good night sleep.

Congratulations on work week #1, glad you had a good one. I find it hard to walk when it is really windy too. Enjoy your weekend and make sure you get lots of rest.

I've been really lazy this week. Congratulations to you for getting your walk in - it's not easy after a full day at work.

New Job Update

Thursday, September 23, 2010

I'm getting the hang of the computer at work. My computer is still really slow at times and that's aggravating, but I'm learning to work around it. I'm almost done with the first project that I was given and am wondering what I will be doing next. I just wish this job would last longer than two months - but I'm still grateful for the two months.

I'm glad you're enjoying the job! And the two months is a great opportunity for you to prove your skills. It's also an opportunity for you to "try on" this employer and see if you would really like to be there long term.
Keep smiling! You CAN do this!
