Now that the weather has cooled down for a few days water retention is taking a U- turn and I lost 4 pounds in the past week:) So looking forward to getting back to normal again with cooler weather and leaving fluid retention behind! So tired and frustrated with getting on the scale on a hot day knowing I've gained several pounds of water weight even though I've fought the good fight with food all week; Now that is changing: Yay!
Everything was going along just fine until a certain letter on the co_puter wouldn't print out; then I couldn't sign in to Spark for the _onth of August because of the letter and e-address and password etc; Then we went away for a few days and by the ti_e we got back I felt like we had been gone for a _onth considering the agony of long distance car travel; I also developed an infla_ation in the left elbow that could have been cellulitis or it could be related to the injections received for the hand procedure surgery of last _onth! I saw the doctor and have an antibiotic awhile; But while we were away celebrating _y _other's 91st birthday I didn't overeat or do any of the foolishness that I did in the past with food! So I think the scale will be positive this week and if so all's well that ends well! As I don't travel often it was just so great seeing fa_ily again after a year! And so nice not to ruin the visit with regrets over food! The keyboard is on its way to being repaired within the week; the doctor has seen the elbow and I will live! I have logged in once again to Spark and life goes on! So although it's true that when it rains it pours it's also true that the sun does shine again and dry up all the rain!! And the itsy bitsy spider goes up the spout again: just had to add that; sorry!!!
by now everything is the way it was before the hand procedure and I can use both hands freely: Sundays are for church; afterwards stop at "The Barn" drive-up window for the Sunday paper; coffee and a bagel if they have any pre-wrapped bagels left; if not just coffee and paper and away I go; (A lot of punctuation is not on this keyboard right now and one of the letters; so please pardon weird word usage!) What I wanted to express was how peaceful "life as usual" can be; how it strengthens the inner being and relaxes the soul; I feel good because there is nothing unusual going on to distract or distort life or the reasons for the food I eat or the way I go about everyday life; So I have GRATITUDE for life as usual; Thank you God!!!
The procedure I recently had on the left hand for Dupetryn's contracture went very well and the "pinky" finger is now practically straight; or at least not bent at a 45 degree angle inward ; It was scary not knowing what the results would be but now that it's over it was SOOOOOOOOO worth it!! It will need to be done on the right hand as well; I had two other fingers done on the left hand three years ago with surgery and this was better and non-invasive except for the needles!!!Ouch!! But do-able! Through it all I felt so grateful that this condition was so non-critical and I felt so VERY GRATEFUL for that! If only everything could be resolved with an injection into the area of illness ; Ah yes! An injection for fat disposal; or do they call that liposuction? Oh well! Not today; thanks!
