Hi SP I am so excited because today I got my new Polar ft40 Heart rate monitor!!! I am so in love, I am the type of person who likes to see the automatic results and obviously the scale is not going to change right away but when I see the exact amount of calories I am expelling from my body it is instant gratification. I work out harder and longer and it is defiantly more fun I cant wait until tomorrow morning to run my daily 5K so I can see just how much I am burning. Y'all don't even understand its like chocolate to me I have never been more motivated. I have 28 lbs to go to reach my goal weight and with my new Polar FT40 I will be there in no time.

I just bought a Polar FT4. I paid $89 on heartratemonitorusa. I love it. I have the watch and the chest strap. I wore it for the first time during my 5k on Saturday. I was so focused on keeping my heart rate within range. It was so much fun to use. uUnfortunately I learn all my Wii fitness games are doing nothing for me. That's a bummer b/c they ar so much fun. I will just keep them around for rainy days.

No it is not biggest loser type,I wish but they are like $300 that is out of my price range. Mine is just a watch that I can ware all the time and when I plan to work out I have to put this band around my chest that is the actual heart rate moniter. It tells my wach my heart rate, my target heart rate,My calories burnned, how long my excercize and witch are most effective. It was only $120 and very worth it!

WooHoo! Enjoy your new toy! Is this like a regular heart rate monitor you can use to figure out your calories burned? Or like the monitors they use on biggest loser you plug into a program, along with recording your foods and what-not? I have a watch/hear rate monitor I've never figured out yet....

Hi sparkpeople if you know me you know that last year I lost 65lbs and was in the best shape of my life when I found out that I was pregnant... It was a huge surprise because I had an IUD and pregnancy with that type of birthcontrol is rare and can be very dangerous for the baby. I found out that everything was fine, my doctor said that the IUD must have fallen out as a result of such dramatic weight loss (lol) but that the pregnancy would not be affected. Now I am a little under two weeks from my c-section date and expecting my first boy, I am so happy for this little miricle I honestly did not expect to have any more children at all and if i did I was shure it would be a girl. My pregnancy has gone really well except for the fact that I have gained about 45lbs instead of the recomended 20-35. This last month is so uncomfortable but I am looking forward to working out again and getting back in shape. I tried to walk my regular two miles everyday but by about the seventh month I would get about a quarter mile and start walking hunched over in pain with stomach cramps so I decided it would be best to give that up too. but that road calls to me I had trained my self to deal with my fustration and anxiety by jogging and now that I cant even walk it I feel kind of trapped in my own head.

me about to go to my first prenatel appt I was 6 weeks

me yesterday 37weeks

11 weeks

Saturday, January 23, 2010

Although I an super excited to be pregnant I am having a bit of a challange sticking to a work out routein and not going crazy eating junk. I feel like I have been milking the situation and it definatly shows I have already gained 10lbs in just the first 2and1/2 months. I dont want to deprive myself or over stress my body but there has to be some sort of middle ground. I am going to commit myself to just 30 min a day work outs everyday this week so I can get back on track. I cant think of it as for ever I just have to take it one week at a time or even one day hopefully that will keep my motivated.Today I am 11 weeks

Small goals are the way to go. As for the junk food, just allow yourself to have one treat either once a week or a small treat everyday. This way you have something to look forward too.

Have a great pregnancy emoticon
