Good Morning

Thursday, August 13, 2009

Have you taken time to say good morning to someone today or has life gotten to busy. Everyone needs to be encouraged along lifes path and what better way than to give a smile or to say good morning to someone. By doing this you let them know that they are not alone in this world. Why not become an encourager to not only your family or friends but to everyone that God allows to cross your path. We can make a difference in our world if we choose to. Have a great day.

Learning to wait

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

I have been pastoring New Hope for 4 years this month and God is working in our church greatly in the past month we have seen God work in a mighty way. I have to admit that I wanted things to be happening much sooner; but I have learned it has to be in God's time. Sometimes we just need to learn to wait.

It Rubs Off

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Well it finally happened. After almost 4 months and a loss of 70 pounds my daughter finally asked how spark people works. She plays tennis in college and wants to tone up. When you stay with the program people really do notice. As a matter of fact I have been able to share spar people with a number of people including my heart doctor who is now telling some of his patients. Stay excited and stick with it. It not only pays off for you but can encourage others to a healthier life.

The Monday Let Down

Monday, August 10, 2009

Monday seems to be a hard day. Back to work after a fun weekend sometimes just doesn't seem right. We tend to complain but the truth is we should be thankful that we have a job or activity to do on Monday. There are a lot of people who would love to be able to go to work on Monday but can't. Maybe they are laid off or maybe not phsically able to work. So if you have a job and are able to preform it be thankful today.

Thank you for saything that. I'm one of those unfortunate ones who don't have a job and it really bothers me to keep hearing people complain about having to go to work (I'm including my husband in this). All my teacher friends on Facebook have really been complaining over the past few days because school is starting back and I keep reminding them that they should be grateful. I know it's human nature for the grass to always be greener on the other side, but man...it's sure nice when the grass comes with a paycheck!

Have a great week at work!

I choose to Worship our living Savior, everyday. I was very surprised today to have a friend of mine and her daughter find me after church service. I've invited them many times and it was exciting to see them today. God is even faithful when we don't expect it and it is nice to see our daily friends unexpectedly.

Growing up in a Christian home with a father who was a minister (now semi-retired), I know that Sundays are busy for pastors. I hope you have a moment to relax and take time for yourself, too.

Blessings!

thanks - Sundays are for reflection - that is for sure. I choose not to do it in any particular place and actually do it all the time.

I am spending my day with a very good friend who is visiting from Victoria BC......she flew in last nite and we spent a good many hours catching up but we have a ways to go - its been three years since we spent time together.

and we will reflect cuz thats just what we do ....together or not.

Cheers.....and thanks for the invite to your church....nice touch to your profile...
