The donut called by nameThursday, February 24, 2011Woe is me. We had a meeting this morning and there were free donuts. If you have read any of my previous blogs you know my company provides lots of food for meetings. So, I ate a donut. But I feel I didn't blow it for the day. I still have 17 points left for dinner. 600 calories. So I think I can keep within that number for the rest of the day and dinner. I have already figured up my lunch so it's included in the numbers already. If there had been some other healthy food choice I think I would have been strong and chose some of it, but donuts were the only option. I plan on walking on lunch break so I will walk off a few calories. Have a good and make healthy choices. ![]()

Donuts happen. It's okay. One is always better than two.

One donut does not a day ruin. You've proved it! Is there someone you can talk to about providing healthier options for meetings? Usually it's more of an issue of the person ordering being in a rut and not an issue of equaly priced options or availability. Report Inappropriate Comment |

You can do it, keep up the positive attitude for the rest of the day. I love how easy it is to plan meals based on number of calories remaining. That way you CAN "slip" or eat something that isn't technically a great choice, and still keep within your range! Good for you! Report Inappropriate Comment |

One of my mini goals require me to lose 3 lbs. There's 5 weeks in March so I should be there by March 23rd. That gives me 3 weeks to lose and I think I can do it. I'll tell myself
and work hard on ways to accomplish that.
When I look back 1 1/2 years ago, I see I've actually lost about 15 lbs. I know that is a low number but anything is better than nothing. I'm striving to lose a 1/2 to 1 lb per week. Whew, I feel like it will take forever to lose this last 23 lbs, but I have plenty of time to do that. I'm not going to rush it as when I set my goals too high I get discouraged easily.
Went for a 2 mile walk on lunch hour with the BH today. That was fun. We've starting walking together in the last couple of weeks as we both work at the same place. So, now I have my regular 2 workout buddies, (they have not been doing much lately, can't seem to motivate them) my workout buddy near home and now the BH. I'm blessed this way and I do appreciate their company.
Have a good day Sparkers.
