Same Weight For 1.5 Months:(

I mean it. My weight will go up or down a single pound, but on the whole, it's stayed at 109 lbs. I'm trying so hard to get to 105 lbs. As the cliche says, I'm "so close, yet so far away"! I do weigh in tomorrow, but I have a feeling that I'm up in weight this week... not good at all. It's my TOM, so it's to be expected, but still. I just know that I will be thoroughly distraught when I see the number. I should weigh more often. I used to weigh several times a day...

I need to count calories again. I said that in my last blog about a month and a half ago, and it still needs to get done. I'm so darned lazy. It's just that someone just asked me (on another site) what I'm eating during the day, and I don't know that I'm getting all of my nutrients in. I just started taking a multivitamin, and my neurologist suggested that I take caltrate. He said that people who take the seizure medication that I am on have trouble absorbing calcium from foods, I think. I haven't done that too consistently either:( What a pain in the butt I am!:(

So anyway, I need some advice on how to lose these last few pounds! It would be so nice.

    Well, if you do less than a 1,000 calories a day, you know you can't maintain that. so let's say that you do make it down to the unrealistic weight of 105; what happens then? are you going to try and stay at that weight and continue to only get less than 1,000 calories a day? come on now, you know that's not really possible and you will end up binging because you have starved yourself! looks like you have a young child and she needs you to have more energy than what that amount of calories is going to give you!

At 109 lbs, you must be about a size 4, right? that's AWESOME!!!! and you are sooooo beautiful.

  It sounds like your thinking is really distorted right now.

A.) What difference do you think weighing 105 could possibly make? How is that four pounds going to change your life?

B.) 897 calories is not even sufficient for two meals for 98% of the population, much less two meals and a snack...

    At 5'4" do you really need to be down to 105? Maybe your body is telling you that you are at a healthy weight and to quit stressing about the last few pounds. Pam

    Thanks! I took my multivitamin this morning, but I've yet to take the calcium. I will do it asap! Too bad the pill is sooo huge:( I just saw a commercial saying that they just are starting to make them in a smaller size, so that's great.

Now, I just added up my calories for breakfast, lunch, and a snack... it was 897 calories!!! whoa that's too much for it being so early in the day:( I will try again tomorrow. That's about all I can do.

    I know how you feel. I was at my last 4 lbs and ended up putting almost all of it back on so now I am starting over again! One thing you can do is to change up your exercise routine. Try some new workouts. Also, change your calories around to get your metabolism going. I always take a multi-vitamin. If your doctor told you to do it, than do it. emoticon

... but I should! It's bizarre. I've lost weight recently (I'm at 109 lbs. now) and it seems my caloric intake has gone up on the nutrition page. I don't know why. My exercise has not been totally consistent since I'm working now, so maybe I should lower that number on the fitness page. Who knows. But anyway, does anyone thing 1,540-1,890 cals for someone my weight (0h yes, and I'm 5'4") is just a little too high?

My mom thinks I'm sick. She's been having me drink Boosts. I want to make her happy, so I've been doing it. I'm not thrilled with that either. Guess I've got to add that into my calories as well. Yay, another 360 cals just from one stupid drink. It tastes nasty too.

So my goal for this month is to restart counting calories (and to find out how many I actually need. Help!). Thank you:)

  The average woman needs 2000 calories a day. For your height 1800 ish sounds reasonable to me. I hope you feel better about eating soon and that your weight stabilizes. I know it is hard though, I was undereating, malnourished and underweight for many years. It was hard for me to grasp how much food my tiny body really needed.

I'm All Tingly!

Hi!

It's Spring, and it's so cold here! I think we had a high temp of 55 degrees fahrenheight (sp?) today. The heater came back on. I sure hope it's supposed to be warmer later in the week.

I've officially been at my new job for two weeks. I really hope this job is a good fit and that people like me there. I'm pretty quiet so not many people know me yet. Just one or two people. I hope I get a little less shy and branch out and that people don't dislike me.

My only problem lately is that my legs and feet are so tingly. My hands too, sometimes. It usually happens when I am sitting or laying down to go to bed... I looked it up on this site and it came up with some links for Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes, which I don't think are the case. It's becoming quite annoying. I went to my dietitian today and had meant to mention it, but just didn't get around to it. Any ideas?

    You know, I looked it up on WebMD and that site said Diabetes as well. I will have to speak to someone about it.

New Job! Less Exercise?

Hi!

Guess what? I finally got a new job! It's in the receiving room, opening boxes and doing stocking. From what I can tell, there's a lot of walking involved. I've only been working there three days, and today is my day off. I am working the morning shift, 6 a.m. til noon. The three days that I have worked so far have tired me out, which is not terribly good because I help my mom babysit for the remainder of the day so I need to be on my toes!

The job may be physically demanding, but I have not gotten much in the way of formal exercise. Not even today:( I've worked out three times this week, and they were pretty lame workouts, to say the least. I'm embarrassed to workout heavily in front of people, so I tone it down when everyone wakes up... and today I didn't even get started until my mom woke up, so that was a wash.

Hmm... so my dietitian says that the activity I do at my work (walking, lifting boxes) burns more calories than my formal exercise and now I need more calories. I don't know how to figure that into my counters here. Should I count my walking on my fitness tracker? I'm thinking of wearing a pedometer to work if I can figure the one that I have out. I've never used it before. I don't think I even have the manual any longer. I'd like to see if I can make it to 10,000 steps!

Oh, and Happy Easter in advance! Have any of you out there ever had a Kinder Egg? It's a chocolate egg with a little toy inside! My mom just got some from a Russian food store, along with these beautiful plastic things that go around Easter Eggs. But my favorite thing to do is assemble the Kinder Egg toys. We opened two of them today and they were kind of lame, but the other ones look like they are going to be cool from the labels. So anyway, Happy Easter!

Hi!

I don't know what's come over me. I normally weigh myself every day or every other day, but lately I've been slacking off. It's been over a week since I stepped on the scale, so the weight on my ticker was an estimate. It was WRONG! Way off. By 1.4 lbs. :( I'm actually 112.4 lbs. now. So I gained 1.4 lbs. in a week. What's wrong with me? Maybe it was the pigging out that I did this morning. Maybe something else. I don't know. Everything seems to be going wrong!

I think I'm overestimating the amount of exercise I'm doing and underestimating my calories that I'm taking in (did I get that right?). The DVD I got from this site, the cardio one, did work in my mom's lap top this morning though. I tried the walking workout for starters! There was a warm up and cool down included, so I'm not sure how much time I actually spent doing the workout, or if I should include that stuff. Probably not. I did my usual stuff as well.

I did swordplay on the Wii this morning for about 30 mins and really worked up a sweat! It was fun. The funny part was that I played my niece's character on there. She's only two years old! I think she played bowling one time and tried to play her sister's Diego game another time, but that's about it. I play my family's characters all of the time. They don't really get to play that often, so I play for them.

Maybe I'll mess around some more with the Wii later. I'm not sure.

Hey, guess what! I got a job! This time it's not seasonal. Today I'm going to go and fill out the paperwork. Wish me luck please!
