Roaring Red

Saturday, April 27, 2013

Even though my body doesn't truly like it this does really suit me!!

Roaring Red – Now!
Reds (ESTP, ESFP) are quick responders with high energy. They like to be where the action is, living in the moment. “Reds never zone out and disengage during a workout,” Brue says. You won’t see them reading a book or watching TV while on a treadmill. In fact, you’ll rarely see them on treadmills at all, she says — because Reds find them boring.

Motivation: Friendly competition is a great motivator for Reds. Pickup basketball games, beach volleyball, mountain-bike rides with pals — these are the activities that sound fun to them — and fun is essential. If you’re a Red, stock your trunk with equipment to keep exercise an exciting, entertaining and easily accessible part of each day.

Suggested Activities: Basketball, tennis, racquetball, in-line skating, Frisbee, mountain biking, soccer, skiing

Fitness and Nutrition Books

Friday, April 15, 2011

LL Cool J's Platinum Workout: Sculpt Your Best Body Ever with Hollywood's Fittest Star is one of my favorite books when I lost all my weight the last time I followed his nutrition guides and the whole walk around the out part of the store to eat the healthiest. I love this book it really motivated me. I think I'm gonna go back and reread it maybe it could get my butt in gear again!

The Pilates Body: The Ultimate At-Home Guide to Strengthening, Lengthening, and Toning Your Body--Without Machines has been an amazing book, it has taught me some of the pilates I do every week. I've learned to move through these moves without hurting myself. It's a must have in every collection.

My third favorite is Body for Life by Bill Phillips. It's been awhile since I've pulled this out but it was inspiring and really made me feel energetic and pumped to work out!

I'm going to have to check these out, especially the LL Cool J book, which I've seen before, but never looked at, and the pilates book. I take pilates at my gym, but really ought to do more at home as well.

Thanks for the great list!

really? hmmm I may have to see if my library has LL Cool J's book and give it a flip. He is VERY sculpted so I guess he would know something about nutrition, but I honestly shrugged it off as a another celebrity product, but it might be worth a serious look.

I also like your Pilates suggestion, I want to get better at that so maybe I should starting reading about it more.

my 5 inspiration people!!

Friday, April 01, 2011

There are so many people that motivate me and inspire me to be a better me but for this I can only choose 5 so here it goes!!

My Children:

Zeron my nine year old is a major inspiration for me, he has shown me a way of life that I never thought that I'd have and has taught me to look to the brighter side of things and that you can be happy through even the roughest of things. He is my sunshine and my heart. His special needs has taught me to have more patience and to give back to what I really think is important.

Tabytha my seven year old is another major inspiration and highlight of my life. She has taught me that no matter what life throws at you, you can accomplish anything. Where Z is my sunshine and my light she is my brain and my heart. I could not be without her. She reminds me of the logic in life and that when you put your mind to something you can really do anything at all.

The are the reason for my every being and I could not live without them at all.

My number 3 inspiration is my friend Blaize. She got me into the wonderful group of sunnies that have helped me through so much and she has helped me to get through some major aspects in my life and always has a helpful word or inspiration of some kind, I can't imagine my life without her. She has been a wonderful friend and keeps me going.

My number 4 inspiration/motivator is my friend Kat, she has really been there for me through the hardest times and the funnest times as well. She is my help when I am down and she is my shoulder to cry on when it is needed. She helps bring me up when I am down and is always there to give me a hand when it is needed. I couldn't have done the past couple of years without her. She is my partner in crime and the person i turn to for accountability. She is the best friend a girl could ask for.

My number 5 inspiration and motivatior is my friend Yadi. She has taught me to look at life a different way, she has inspired me to do things that I never would have done without her. She is a lovely and beautiful person inside and out. She inspires me to be a better person and a better friend. I couldn't imagine my life without her and her kind works and her brave persona.

I love all of these people in ways they will never know. They have helped me through my hardest times and many other things I'm sure they haven't even noticed. I can't imagine my life without these special people. I'm a better person because of them and I want to thank them very much for being part of my life like they are.
