21 Day Fix - Day 2

I've had another good on plan day today. I've not felt as hungry today so I need to look at what I ate differently than yesterday. I did have 2 Shakeos today instead of the one, I made sure I a red container left for that, so I know that probably helped as they are pretty filling and I make mine with 500ml of water so big lol!

I got in my scheduled Turbofire this morning, today was HIIT 20, I did much better with the choreography than I did this one lol, so I'm improving. I love Chalene, she's so motivating and pushes you when you're feeling it!

I got paid today so I was able to go and do a healthy Fix shop. I was so proud that I stuck completely to the foods I am allowed and resisted any temptations. I felt a bit smug with my healthy, clean trolley of food.

I still have some containers left for a snack later if I need it. I love how much you can eat on this programme!


21 Day Fix - Day 1

I started the Beachbody 21 Day Fix today. I didn't buy the programme but found the correct portion sizes to follow and all the info I need. I will continue with the Turbofire programme alongside the Fix.

I hadn't been able to go shopping and stock up as I wanted to as payday is not until tomorrow, so tomorrow I will be buying a few bits and doing some meal prep. I think that is the key with this plan to have your meals all ready to go.

My first day has gone well though and I have stuck to it. I am actually eating more calories than my previous daily goal, which I was useless at sticking to btw lol. But this is all clean eating so the quality of my diet will be much improved on what it was!

I will follow the plan for the 3 weeks and see what my results are like and how I feel after the cleaner diet kicks in and then do another round before my vacation in 6 weeks time.

I'm really excited to see how this goes. I've never eaten clean, I've always been a bit scared of being restricted or missing certain foods, but I now I need to change something and I know it's my rubbish diet!

    You should still go for it! A lot of things you would normally eat can be adapted or portioned out for yourself if your hubby wants more.

10k Training

I'm currently following a training plan to run 10k.
My last run I was scheduled to cover 2.5 miles. I set out a little nervous that I wouldn't be able to do it, that I'd have to stop and walk. Anyway, before I knew it I had reached the 2.5 miles, I thought what the hell lets keep going! I wanted to see if I could make it to 3.1 miles (5k). Well I did!
I finished in 32:00! That's a pace of 10:20 min/mile! I haven't ran that quick since sometime last year when I was running. In fact my PB for a mile is 10:05 so not far off!
I'm so proud of myself that I managed 5k with no walk breaks, only done this once before and it happened to be in exactly the same time of 32:00.
This has given me so much more confidence in my ability. I know I can achieve anything I set out to do.
I'm absolutely loving this plan and I know I am going to be more than ready to run my 10k race in May next year.

    Good for you!! I used to run 10K's and we used to say if you can run 3 you can run a 10K.

My Insane 9 Week Challenge!

So as most of you know I have taken on the challenge that is Insanity!
I ordered the DVD set from ebay, got it about 25 cheaper than retail price, happy days :)

I have finished Week 1 and am just beginning my second week.

It has pushed my further and harder than I ever thought I was capable of. I knew it was a tough workout programme so I had no illusions going into it. I needed something to get me excited and moving forward again in my fitness journey. I was stuck in a rut for a good few months with no real sense of direction.

I love the consistency of this programme. I never thought I'd enjoy working out 6 days a week and at such an intensity, but I'm absolutely loving it!! I love how it makes me sweat almost immediately. I love how it pushes me out of my comfort zone. I love the massive community of Insanity peeps are out there. I have met so many inspirational and supportive people on Facebook & MFP who are all taking this same challenge.

I'm excited to see how my fit test results this coming weekend at the end of week 2 will compare to my first day. I expect great things and I know I will probably not be disappointed.

My first weeks results are pretty encouraging, and I look forward to seeing continuing progress.

- 1lb weight
- 1.5" off my hips
- 1" off my chest
- 0.5" off my thigh
- 0.5" off my waist
- 2% body fat

Race for Life 10k

I'm taking part in my first 10k race. I've done Race for Life 5k's before and found them challenging but great fun! The support is amazing!
This year I am running my first 10k on my 30th birthday! I thought it would be a great day to get out there and do something I've always wanted to do, and even more so on my 30th :)

I have a sponsorship page and would be really grateful if anyone could donate just a little to this great cause, Cancer Research.
