i'm bidding on & winning the CUTEST ...okay HOTTEST dress from my all time fave designer, BCBG!! =] its a $130 dress and its at only $40 right now {last season thats why} so lets keep fingers crossed that i win!!! so far no plans for my birthday -- 8/27 -- thinking of doing something local and then maybe go up to Nashville or down to Birmingham for dinner... I think bham is closer ((??)) but nash is an easy drive too... it'd be fun to get a few of the local friends I met together and go up to nash but i doubt that... maybe i can just snag Ashley & her boyfriend Patrick for a double date up in Nash... it could coincide with her weight loss milestones to have a splurge double date :)

not much else going on in my area... still surviving in the 150's, eating really healthy as I'll be back in Seattle in exactly two weeks... and the wedding is on 8/14 ...i'm so excited for my brother & his fiance. as much as i "complain" i truly am happy for them... I am just so glad for my wedding we had a wedding planner... they are planning a 500 guest wedding by themselves! in-freakin-sane.

had mani/pedis last week with ashley... i was actually impressed with the nail salon, they had a lot of staff and really helped me feel relaxed... and it was only $40, not bad {$5 extra for the nail design on toesies} ...my polish has held up really well, though it kinda faded in the pool -- oh well, its just polish! my nails are really growing though, i've increased my biotin & started drinking more white tea... thinking ill just do a light peachy color on my nails for the wedding... i always chip my nails when they do the french by hand lol... im a klutz, what can i say?

i got my dress in for hemming & pick it up sat, then mail it home to mommy so she can dry clean it & get all the wrinkles out. i was happy the hemming is only going to be $20 -- i was worried that it'd be more, but i guess it's because i have no alterations aside from that to be done. I think I may take more things to get hemmed there -- it's Kay Dry Cleaners for anyone in the area :) they have fast turn-around & good rates { DH gets his shirts dry cleaned there -- its always under $5/shirt for him! }

well im rambling... time to get some work done. i'm in a CRAFTY mood today! i've been making baby bibs for my niece & listing them on etsy... the spare ones, that is. I use my own pattern I made -- I'm so proud of myself lol! I need to find a boy pattern... my neighbor is having a boy in Sept and so is my friend back in WA... all my stuff is super modern fabrics tho, i can't STAND cheesy baby fabric -- sorry to anyone who likes that stuff haha! i like michael miller & amy butler fabric :)

i've been slacking!

Thursday, July 22, 2010

Oh I know I've been slacking on blogging, shame on me! GOOD news out of it though? Down to 148.6 -- 8.6 to go by my birthday on 8/27.... I absolutely KNOW that I can do this now! I've been drinking water w/lemon slices [our tap water is NASTY, i refuse to drink it plain & i keep forgetting to buy a pur/brita] and only have 1 cup of decaf coffee... except today I needed a "pick me up" so I made an 8oz cup of my Starbucks Via instant coffee...

The other day I put my bridesmaid dress back on and was able to zip it up myself -- when it first came mid-July I had to get help, because my back fat was a bit chubby. I can totally see definition now, I bet if I lose another 10-15lbs I will have visible abs and total definition... I really want to get a new bikini but instead of doing what I usually do - buy then tone up - I'm going to tone up then buy so that I can get one really flattering to my body. That and the fact the one that I do like [ by Kenneth Cole Reaction ] is about $75 and I just can't afford to spend that this month... I still have to get my dress hemmed, ship it home & get my brother a wedding gift -- do you think a check is too "cheesy"?? A lot of the "cheap" gifts on their registry are gone and it's all expensive stuff :( ...I was thinking of getting a nice laundry basket and filling it with like 6mo worth of laundry and cleaning stuff... is that too cheesy?? They aren't "living" together until after their honeymoon -- HER old fashioned ways. Or maybe getting them a gift certificate to a spa post-wedding... for the newlywed 1st year. Oh who knows, any ideas?

Thanks Milne... when DH & I got married we kinda specified we wanted the cash more than gifts {we honeymooned in las vegas} and everyone pretty much agreed that it was much easier for them anyway. My brother & his fiance's wedding registry was huge -- they are anticipating 500 guests! And she had two bridal showers... it's insane, but a lot of her gifts were snapped up fast... and she even bought herself a lot of them [which imo was odd] but to each their own. I'll just send cash it's always helpful & a guaranteed smile.

Give them money. I really wanted the gifts from the registry when I got married 2.5 years ago, but the money was so helpful! They are going to run into so many new expenses when they move in that they weren't expecting. We got through that stuff with the cash/checks we got as wedding gifts. We didn't live together before the wedding and I thought we would have everything covered when we combined stuff but we didn't.

2 Month Weigh In / Update!

Tuesday, July 20, 2010

I am so excited, I weighed in today totally thinking I'd be back up to 155 -- easily! Let's see I had a 6" sub sandwich yesterday, followed with s'mores goldfish, tortilla chips w/salsa and 2 publix cookies with my 1/2 cup tomato soup for my dinner/dessert mix haha. And 1 cup caffeine free diet cola cherry soda.

Here are my current stats:

Weight: 150.0
Waist: 30"
Hips: 37.5"
Neck: 12.5"
Waist-to-Hip Ratio: 0.78 (the HEALTHY range!!)

I'm down 2.4 pounds from my June 16 weigh in (and I was .83 WTH ratio then), and I'm down 2.6 pounds since beginning my weigh in's on May 26 (though I've been on/off the Spark Wagon for over 4 years now)... I've lost a total of 2" on my waist, I can not be happier!!

My goal is to ultimately be a 125-130 pounder, with a 28" waist... I know my only "slack" is the working out... heck, if I worked out I'd be lean and fit, but I just do not have the desire... I do walk 3-4x a day with my dog, but I know I should do something more intense... some day!

Since I achieved my 150# goal, my friend Ashley and I went in for a mani/pedi spa date yesterday... it was just what I needed. I think that may just have to become a once a month ritual now, haha... That and going to the Westin Spa... maybe that will be an every other month, for a massage. Either way though I'm very happy, I've made some house hold changes... I swapped my caffeinated coffee for decaf & we only buy 1 regular soda + 2 caffeine free soda's when we buy groceries. I also got DH to start eating Lean Cuisines -- less electricity being used, less food to buy (or spoil!) and I love LC's I could eat them forever... Surprisingly even with "junk food" in the house... I have no temptation for it... we also have a fridge FULL of fruit: watermelon, nectarines, peaches, grapes, kiwi fruit, cherries... I'd much rather get sugar from them than cookies.
