I am living a very different life now.

No TV at all! No internet (except for the 2 times I checked in with the library access). My sad little old pc is trying to die. I lost half its ram just yesterday. I am doing well otherwise. Borrowing CDs and DVDs from the library. I haven't been either going to the movies or reading in so long I have a lot of free stuff to catch up on.
I am on the Lyricia at the med. research level again. I am just about used to it all over again. It is not a good med for thoes trying to curb thier eating. I gives the "spins" if I don't eat a regular meal when I take it so I am relearning my good habits.
I have maintained my weight without a fluctuation barely at all.
Thanks for the continued supports and hope everyone is doing well, and even better this year!
Love, hugs to all Oread

Sometimes a disadvantage opens doors we'd not seen before. In your blog I sense a touch of this. Dumping electronics from our lives is a healthy move no matter what the reason. It forces us to be ourselves just a little more than when we spend time on those 'conveniences'! Kudos on maintaining balance despite the meds!

My mouse is still on vacation but

Friday, September 04, 2009

I still have internet an am doing research:

D'Adamo "The GenoType Diet or The Blood Type Diet: Which is best for you?"

There is a conflict over corn of all things. The history of corn:

It is not on the lists for BTD but on my notes from the Geno-type it is a black dot for Hunters. I may be wrong but I am part Native American/Indian (mostly western) and have never had problems with maize. I will be adding it back into my diet. You need to make your best decision.

OK my mouse is yelling at me! CU

hope your mouse didn't get too mad at you! you're right about making our own decision. I don't see why things that don't hurt us should be erased totally from our diets. I reduced my diairy intake, but I'm still adding a few drops of skimmed milk in my tea in the morning, and it really doesn't affect me.
enjoy your e-vacation!

Are you really giving up Internet? Say it's not so.

Yes I agree! When you have studied the Blood type- and GenoType way of eating, and have been eating this way for a while, you are able to feel more clearly what your body tolerates and what not.
For example, I tolerate coffee well - never gives me acid reflux or keeps me awake at night, so I drink it - and enjoy it.

So I have come up with a combination of BTD and GTD that suits me well, but it takes time and patience to figure these things out.

There is always a straw

Tuesday, September 01, 2009

For me it was the test Med's. I didn't have much hope for them when I started but the change in ME was amazing. I had a bit of the energetic self I was missing so much. I am now pretty much off of them and dragging my a**. I had enough trouble with getting things done before but now that I know what I could be doing it doesn't make sense to expect that I can do off these Med's.
Part of it is age another part is chronic pain. I will be trying to fix the stuff I need to at my pace-slow. And seeing if I can get the med by whatever method needed.

Thanks so much for the support, that I will miss the most.

So my mouse will be on vacation for the most part. Enjoy.

Hi I was mia for a bit

Monday, August 31, 2009

And I have pretty much convinced myself that I need a Spark Break, and probably a TV and internet break too. I just have to notify my provider and change my habits.
I am just so far behind on what I wanted to do when I made my goals in the Spring. I need to get my ducks in a row.
I have been having a bit of anxiety and denial. Fortunately I know what I need too do.
So my dear Spark Friends I will see you now and again. Just not with the consistency that I have.

Hope you all do well!

We'll anxiously await your return! I know how tempting media of every description can be...I get bogged down with the newspaper, books, computer, TV, radio, and podcasts! I'm always struggling to get anything done. Good luck during your SparkBreak! Lots of emoticon, Susan

First day of the next heat wave

Friday, August 28, 2009

I am not at all adapted to this. I remember that being in a hot place I feel more like a reptile and want shade. I think being hypothyroid has something to do with this. Or I am just a big baby.
