Health means happiness

To me health means happiness because being healthy means you can do things.You can go places. You can enjoy life. Being healthy does not mean eating low fat things. It means eating whole foods and some chocolate and some wine. It means you can enjoy a swim or a walk and take time to see where you are rather than blinded running fast on a treadmill. That might be OK for some but not for me!

Good on me!

Good on me for persevering to track my food and try and find out how to eat less calories and less fat. Small steps!
Good on me for exercising twice yesterday and doing that again today and tomorrow and the next day etc.
Good on me for getting back to a normal sleeping pattern after two months of stress at work and for finally taking the step to focus on contract work. Could be scary but it's mostly exciting!!!

I am grateful for being able to enjoy my food - I could eat a bit less of it - because food is a thing to enjoy and not to fret over... If you eat the good stuff!

    I totally agree. There are times I am tempted by things (mostly sweets) but I catch myself and say to myself that it won't be worth the calories. And it makes it so much easier to no longer be tempted by it. If I decide to indulge I want it to be really good. I want to love the things I eat!

Eating the stress away

Seems like the announced restructure is making me binge a bit. Lemon slice, toffee cake and so e small easter eggs on the menu yesterday. Does it take the stress away. No.

Also, because everybody wants to have coffee with me - and I witb them - I have daily coffee meetings that impact on my walking time.

So from today that is going to change. I am going to ad a 30 minute walk to my daily routine without giving up on the coffee dates and u am going to make healthier snack choices. Will let you know how it goes.

    Thanks! I believe you are right that's why i am changing it but having a tea or coffee with a friend also helps. Just not so often. And I do love walking!
