Bye, Bye Plateau, Bye, Bye...

Thursday, February 26, 2009

I have been on a stinking plateau for about 4 weeks and I'm not going to take it anymore...
I commit today to TRACK my food and DRINK my WATER (all 64 oz's.) While I'm in the commitment mode I may as well commit to get up off my duff and get my groove on. The weather is getting nice so no more "it's too cold" excuses. It is definitely to to "Praise My Butt Off!!!

    Yes you can!!

Send that plateau to %#@*& by getting up and moving it. I found that a little walking at night helped me to keep my metabolism moving.

You can do this!

Down ONE size in my jeans!!!

Saturday, January 03, 2009

Well this week I noticed that my size 14 stretchy jeans that I used to have to squeeze into (the ones that I had to squat, bend over, hold my breath, to stretch enough to zip that gave me a mushroom around the middle) were getting so baggy that I didn't even need to unzip them to pull them on and off!!! (Nice run on sentence.) I rummaged through the drawers and found a pair of my old stretchy size 12's and was able to get them zipped!! Yeah...This really motivated me to stay on my plan. My T-shirts are starting to look kind of like maternity shirts!!! Last Sunday I was able to wear an outfit to church that last month I needed a safety pin to keep the top buttoned!!! I can't believe what a difference 14 lbs has already made. I can't even fathom the remaining 44 lbs.

Isnt that the greatest feeling to put on jeans that didnt fit! I am now wearing jeans I thought I would never ever wear again. I am so thankful I am a pack rat. You can do it. With every pound you lose you feel so much better and the motivation gets easier and easier. I am so proud of you! Keep up the great work. I just love Spark people it has helped so many of us yo yo dieters.

My First Bootcamp!!!

Saturday, January 03, 2009

This is my first Bootcamp and I am excited as well as slightly nervous about being able to keep up. I dug out the little dumbbells this morning and will go and buy the balance ball in the morning. I have several goals in joining this challenge. First I need accountability, second I want to continue to loose weight and finally I want to be fit and healthy. I have a very fit 14 year old daughter that I am having great difficulty keeping up with. She has been challenging me on the Wii Fit...She home-schools, so we will do the challenges together. This will count as her Physical Ed class, and she will be my in-home coach!!!.

I started this journey on Dec. 1,2008. I call it my "Lifestyle Change." We don't use the "D" word around here anymore. My DH and my 77 year old Mom (who resides with us) have decided to change with me. My 9 yr. old grand-son said her sure did like this new lifestyle eating!!! I have lost 14 lbs since Dec.1st so I am very happy with the results. At a height of 4'11" and 180 lbs. I was quite the roly-poly, but not for long...

I will try to post updates along with pictures as the journey proceeds.
