Concentration is the ability to think of absolutely nothing when it is absolutely necessary.

- Ray Knight, professional athlete

Concentration is what I love about Yoga some of the balance poses really help me a lot but only if I concentrate on holding the poses and breathing correctly

And with the focus of one's thoughts on a pose it is very helpful in helping you in other areas too like being able to stay on task

I too, love yoga for that very reason! Yoga is kind of an escape for me -- something to focus on besides what baby is into! Lol! Good quote!

Don't be fooled by the calendar. There are only as many days in the year as you make use of.

- Charles Richards

it is the one thing I have that is of value...time. Once lose or wasted it can not be regained for second chances to do what you should have done the first time around

king & the pawn

Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.

- Italian proverb

wow this move is just great and gives me confirmation of how I feel about my boss. He is so sure that I am nothing and that just makes me more determined to prove him wrong.

They who give have all things; they who withhold have nothing.

- Hindu Proverb
I have found this to be so true that when I give what I have even if I only have a little to give I come upon more that what I need later...what goes around comes around

I believe that too; even though we don't always get the good stuff right away, it seems to happen when we need it the most.

expected happiness

Saturday, January 26, 2008

A great obstacle to happiness is expecting too much happiness.

- Bernard de Fontanelle, French writer

Sometimes I forget to be happy with what I have already because I am thinking about all the things I want. Some of the things I don't even really need. So if I reflect on what I have and appreciate that then I really should be thrilled to be so fortunate

    Very true!
When I find myself feeling bad for things I don't have, I start counting my blessings instead for what I do have; it always puts things in perspective and makes me feel better.

This is so very true with most of us, I believe. It seems its human nature to want more and think that will make us happier. True happiness comes from within and the sooner we realise that the better we are.
