This weight loss journey is suppose to be where I focus on myself and my health. I have a lot of time to do so. It's hunting season and Randy (fiance) has been gone. *sigh*

So instead of sitting at home and feeling sorry for myself, I went for a run today. I have been going a bit farther every day or beating my time. I believe I am a little over 2 miles now. Its exciting because I never would've imagined myself enjoying running or being at this place right now.

After the run I looked up spark receipes and I went grocery shopping. Tomorrow morning I plan on making lunch for work!!!!

I also bought myself some sweat pants today and a nail polish I've been looking at for a month as a reward for the weight loss I have achieved so far. I need new nail polish like I need a hole in my head but hey, the heart wants what the heart wants. ;)


Also, yesterday I went to Hollis' 2nd Birthday Party. It was a blast. I got to see my sister's best friend's (growing up) kid. They had their baby the same day, in the same hospital within an hour or so apart. Here is a picture of the both of them.

I love how you have turned your thoughts to exercise to keep your mind busy while your fiance is out hunting. It's a super big deal for the guys back home in Michigan. November 15th is practically a holiday!

So your sister and her best friend had babies one hour apart? That is too cool! I think even in friendship you can find "the one". Looks like she found hers:)

Sunday Morning to Myself

The fiance and I weren't very happy with each other last night. We rarely fight, so it kinda throws off my routine when we do. Any ways, needless to say, I laid down for a nap and didn't wake up until this morning 15 hours later.

This morning he went out hunting, I got myself up, had breakfast, sparked, and then I went for a run. I plan on going for another one this evening to make it up to my CAT team that and I actually enjoyed this mornings run. I had been running on the treadmill but this morning decided to brave the elements because it was getting boring.

The run was freezing, but weirdly enough I made my fastest time. I must've been motivated to get home! lol.

I have my nephew's 2 yr birthday party to go to this afternoon and Im very excited about it.

I've still got to get him a present.

Positives so far:
I'm blessed with family, even when we aren't getting along.
I feel very energized since I've been eating better and drinking lots of water.
Fall air and leaves. Its my favorite time of the year.
My nephew, he's the most beautiful 2 year old you can meet.
Time to myself. Quiet time...time to focus on myself, time to relax.

    Great way to deal with the yucky post-fight miseries--get some exercise, feel in control of something, and list five things to be grateful for. Hope you have some great times making up. (hey, I am just old, not dead.)

    I had yesterday to myself. Sometimes you need it especially when things get off kilter. I braved the elements this morning too-it was 45 but it still felt good. Enjoy your nephews Birthday party. Those pics are just too adorable!

I successfully avoided eating all the junk at my workshop today!!!! I brought in a great panini (lean cuisine) and I ate the salad that they ordered. I avoided the chips, the brownies/cupcakes and all the other junk by sitting on the other side of the room. Apparently since I am now getting married, people don't mind so much that I'm trying to be healthy and didn't continue on with rude comments.

ALSO I am down another 1.4lbs since saturday!!!!!! That's a total of 6.4lbs down in the 3.5 weeks that I've been part of this community.

Thank you so much to all my sparkfriends and every one who have left encouraging comments. I don't think I would be so motivated without all of you!!!!

    Great report. Have you noticed that people who wouldn't dream of waving a martini under the nose of an alcoholic gone dry, still don't see anything wrong with pushing food at someone struggling to lose weight. I get that all the time at church when I refuse covered dish dinners and won't volunteer to do snacks for meetings or Bible studies. Americans are just obsessed with food and don' t understand those who choose not to share that obsession.

Nervous

Tomorrow my center is hosting a regional workshop and we are catering in Italian. Yikes!!! I've been really good at not going over my minimum recommended caloric range and eating healthy...I don't want to binge on what I know won't be healthy food or healthy portion sizes.

My plan is to pack my own lunch...hopefully that will work out. I'm semi-worried about the "peer" pressure but hopefully this will be successful.

As for my positives:
So far I've drank 9 glasses of water and plan on having one more.
I had a good talk with my boss todAy.
I felt great in my clothes today.
I'm getting caught up on y work load at work.

I'm doing my best to really focus on water these past few weeks. This week I've done a really great job at focusing on water. Its hard though to get eight glasses in, even when I drink two in the morning. And some of you are drinking 14?! I think I'm going to pop if I drink any more.

I was going to try to drink 10 today but I just can't do it. It was hard to drink 8. But I will get it there by saturday for the Fall Challenge.

To end my blog on a positive note:

I ran on the treadmill for 30 tonight.
I've stayed within my caloric range this entire week.
My cat snuggled me tonight and that's always nice :).
I get to go to bed early and wake up late!

    I found if I put my water in a water bottle I drink more of it. If I do it glass by glass it is just too hard to do. Great positives!

    I drink 6 glasses a day my doctor said take your weight in lbs and half it and that is how many fl.ozs of water you need a day,
