Yesterday the fam and I ran a little over a mile at an average pace of 12 minutes and 17 seconds.
Today I went to zumba for 45 minutes, came home to clean up the dog's mess, so then decided to go back out for another run. Despite the fact that I felt exhausted, I ended up shaving 1 minute off my average pace and completed a mile at an average pace of 11 min and 17 seconds!!!
This week Randy, Cam and I are planning on running a mile 3 times (every other day), and then next week running 2, then the next running 3.
Then we should be able to work on shaving off time. I am hoping to beat my last race. We only have 5 weeks to repair but It hasn't been TOO long since I stopped exercising so I don't think I will have to regain that much ground. I AM EXCITED TO PROVE THIS TO MYSELF. :)
My goal: I am going to try to get down to 140. I don't know if this is unrealistic because the body fat/composition test that I took said the ideal "me" would be 137lbs (muscle). Which means PEAK physical fitness. But I will am going to try really hard. I am at approximately a size 8 and 5'4" so I believe I could go down one size and would be happy.
I am currently at 145ish. Right before the wedding I was hovering between 142-143. I will have to really re-focus on my eating habits.
Then I will maintain...unless we try having a baby.
The wedding came and went so fast!!!! June 1st was the day we got married. The day was wonderful. It didn't rain like forecasted which was awesome since we got married outside. Every thing went smoothly. Randy forgot our vows but our pastor just inserted his own thing and every thing turned out okay. I felt like a princess and had so much fun the entire night.
We then drove down to naples FL on 06/02/13. We got there on 06/03 at approximately 10PM. It rained on and off the entire week we were there but we still had an awesome time. We went "treasure" (sea shell) hunting every day, went to the botanical gardens, chased lizards/frogs/crabs/birds lol, saw dolphins, caught up with randy's cousin, etc. (we also ate a lot of food!!!!).
TO my surprise I am down from what the last weight I recorded on here was. However that was about two weeks before the wedding. I think I am up about two pounds...I think the lost weight was actually muscle so that's not good. I am trying not to stress about it though. I will get there. :)
We started running as a family today for the 5k we are running on july 13. We ran a little over a mile for our first run and plan on increasing it. I could've done more but it was raining hard.
I've been traveling back and forth between my center and another center in the region the past few days so I've been planning out my work outs. I also stocked up on a lot of vegetables.
Today I went to pilates for the first time. It was a nice change in pace and easier on the lungs than some of the cardio classes. I also did Zumba. This new instructor does a round of strength training at the end which I like.
These past few days have been great. We picked out Randy's Tux this weekend and finished up some things on that end. Yesterday I went to meet up with my photographer and some of her friends at a coffee shop. I loved all the women and we're planning a regular night out now on Thursdays so that's kind of exciting!
Nonscale victories: I'm at the point where none of my clothes really fit. I don't really even care at this point, I am just happy at the progress. I can't wait to get to fitness and I can wait to push my body to a state of physical fitness that its never been to. I actually FEEL like the skinny girl instead of the "big" girl.
Things I'm thankful for:
Randy and his continued support and him pushing me out of my comfort zone to meet up with all those women.
Whiskers and his companionship while I've been sick.
My health slowly returning.
I woke up in a much better mood today and decided to ACT - take my health into my control.
So I woke up at 5:45 and made it to the gym. Worked out for a short period of time - just enough so that my lungs felt the strain but were not burning. I did NOT want to overdo it.
Yesterday, Randy and I got some really good vitamins. I'm going to start taking them and hope that this helps put me back on a good path and then keeps me there.
I also pledge to get lots of water in today - I haven't been doing great with this and I know this will GREATLY help with all the mucous I've got floating around in my head.
Nonscale victory: At my dress alteration yesterday, the lady that sold me my dress was telling every body about how much of a transformation I've made (she saw me 35lbs ago). It was nice. Also, my pant and underwear are starting to fall down all the time. (Annoying, but awesome at the same time).
Things I'm thankful for:
My body - its the only one I got!
Whiskers (Kept me toasty warm the last few nights - actually he's been keeping me warm ever since I got sick, think that Cat has a sixth sense)
