Habit Blog 2

Sunday, March 03, 2013

Yesterday I blogged about water. Today I am going to blog about something else. I hope that's okay, the rules didn't seem very specific for the challenge. To follow up on the water thought, I did make an effort to get all my water in. I fell short. I need to have water when I immediately wake up or else I never seem to be able to get 8 oz. I have water in my goals and hope to get this going as a streak again.

Another habit I want to incorporate in my life is incorporating physical fitness as a major part of my life! I have always said "I will one day run a 5k..." Well my friend has pushed me so I signed up for two tonight!!! One next Sunday (St. Patty's day themed). And then the next the following Saturday (in support of missionaries that will live in the Papa New Guinea area). I'm very excited! Kinda nervous, especially since I've been a little relaxed this last week. BUT I KNOW I CAN DO IT!!! (But prayers won't hurt spark friends ;) )

Nonscale victories: stepping outside of my comfort zone and signing up for the races!

Things I'm thankful for:
Friends who encourage me in this healthy lifestyle journey.
Randy.
Physical health.
Emotional well-being.
Inner confidence today!

Habit blog 1

I need to seriously focus on more water intake. I haven't been consistent with it lately and I can tell! I feel a lack of energy, mental focus and my skin/lips feel dry.

I hit my head really hard today so want to keep this brief. Sorry friends bear with me.

I hope you are okay!!. I had trouble last year getting my water intake. It wasn't until I gave up my diet coke that I was able to drink it. Now I drink water a lot!! I think I must have dehydrated for years without knowing it. Water makes the skin look young and nice too!

Yeah, we need to push water. (But I do hate the multiple bathroom trips then required...ah, the joys you have to look forward to as you age).

laid back.

Thursday, February 28, 2013

I'm fighting the lazies this week. Any ways, I went to work out tonight because that is what I do. I'm not going to fall out of the habit. I need to push through this week and get some FIGHT back into me. I'm not being too hard on myself yet because I am recovering from a bug. However, I know it would be all too easy to just curl up and do nothing this week.

Nonscale victory: ignoring my first inclination to be a lazy couch potato.
Not letting the stress of grad school, midterms, planning a wedding, working a full time job, raising a 14 yr old, get to me TOO much and remaining somewhat calm.

Things I'm thankful for:
supportive friends.
Randy.
Cameron.
God not laying any thing on me that I can't handle.
Whiskers of course.

You've got a lot on your plate. Just tackle each task individually instead of looking at the whole giant mess and you can do anything!

Back up and running...er dancing. :)

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

I am feeling much better! Yesterday I was going to work out but the roads were really bad due to freezing rain. So I missed going to the gym yesterday. I went to cardio dance today though and it felt great!

I weighed in for BLC today and finally am out of the 150's!!! I now weigh 149.8. It was only a .4 lb decrease from last week...I was hoping for a higher number but I didn't work out this weekend and I did take liberties with my eating over the weekend. I'm happy I didn't gain so I won't complain.

Nonscale victory: I fit into a bunch of old skinny jeans again. I got rid of a bunch of bigger clothes too. Felt good!

Things I'm thankful for:
continued support from Randy.
my health returning.
good spark friends.

My body needs to make up its mind.

Thursday, February 21, 2013

My throat is hurting now. Randy says it looks "jacked up." If I'm going to be sick, I wish my body would just get it over with.

***Just got back from the doctor*** Its strep. :( Bummer. But I got a z pack so hopefully will be up and running soon.

I have goals this week to reach and this will not prevent me from achieving them!

Z-packs are good stuff! Sorry to hear you are sick though. I did get a giggle out of your throat looking "jacked up." That's about the best description of strep I have ever heard!

Hope you are feeling better!
