The last few times I've tried achieving weight loss, I've done the calorie cutting method. I aimed for 1200 calories and tried not to sway too far from it. I aimed for 1200 with the perfection attitude. Any thing over and I was unhappy. Any thing under and I was ECSTATIC. I lost weight that way, but I also gained it back.
This time I'm aiming for watching my calories, aiming AROUND 1200 calories, but giving myself leeway if I'm hungry. If I slip up, I'm not going to let it get me down and drag me further off course. I'm aiming for healthier choices and portion control.
I am really trying to listen to my body this time around. Eat when I'm hungry, stop when I'm not hungry and recognize when I'm eating to satisfy myself emotionally.
Since Monday, I've been trying this and despite not being "perfect" I feel healthy and have reached what I consider successes (feeling better, working exercise into my schedule, etc).
I am hoping that this will allow me to drop the weight and keep it off this time around.
