Carb Loading and shapely shoulders

Thursday, March 17, 2011

Even though I am quite disgusted with my carb consuming glutton self lately, I am pleasantly surprised to see my shoulders starting to slim down and looking less like a defensive end. I actually had the nerve to work out in my running tank just to see what muscles were actually showing through!! Low and behold I didnt look to bad!! I have this weird thing about having the "guns" out at the gym. And I rarely ever go sleeveless, so this is a good turn of events for me!!
I have been eating pasta like a mad person lately!!! I decided today I would eat less!!! Well less obvious carbs like rice or potatoes! For dinner I stuck with chicken salad on lettece! Delish!

With all this carb loading my "system" has been outta wack, even with my tea!!

Mmm, you just made me hungry! But that's ok because it's time to eat anyway!

I hear ya on the guns...I've always been ashamed of my arms. But recently I've been doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and I'm finding out that there are muscled at the back of your arms too! I'm always going around now flexing and feeling how strong I am! emoticon Dh thinks I'm nuts! But...we have to be proud of our accomplishments right!?!

It aint pretty

Monday, March 14, 2011

I have been feeling sorry for myself and a tad whiny lately. With the hubs gone and my eating clean on a hiatious, I started self loathing. To top it off I am cutting the baby off the milk! I know! Shes an old baby! It needs to be done but it makes me feel sad! I am having empty nest syndrome and its only because she is the last! And she loves it which makes it harder! But I will persevere and not give into her little clawing and big doe eyed antics. Ok enough of my boobs.

My eating has been off for sure. But my calories have hovered around 2000 give or take a HUNDRED!! Geez. I am taking advice from one of my fellow Sparkers and planning my meals and if its not planned, its not eaten!!! I have been feeling pretty soft and bloated lately and I know the amount of sodium I have consumed is the culprit!! Really I have been getting headaches over it! Done!!! More water, less tacos!!!!

I am trying to stick with this PB2 Chocolate peanut butter(no, nothing like nutella, sigh) and I find it tastes great on Carmel rice cakes! I've noticed in the process of mixing the dry powder with water that I eat wayyyyyy to much of the old stuff! I need to get diligent with my measuring!

My alter ego, "gym rat" forced my glutton self to the gym. I was the only one in the locker room and decided to show you all some progress or not(I'm up 5 pounds and it shows a little in my beat red face). I never had broad shoulders, and the proof is in the pudding when the fat starts melting off! I look alittle like rocky in these photos I just just done and was changing. Now to make my waist and arms would match my quadzilla legs!

I posted another pic but i looked like a stalker in it! yikes!!!

I'm too scared to post a pic like that but your arms and mine look just the same. My dad has that same weird double jointed elbow thing so I think we are actually sisters from another father.

I agree with the post before mine. I would love to look the way you do. You look fantastic and I get bloated from sodium too but it can all be flushed away. Hugs, I hope you feel better soon.

Anyway, go on getting back to the gym and remember whatever you do, COUNTS! emoticon

Oh well it was nice of her!! I never even watched it being used until today! It looks like it will stretch my back out any way!!!

What's so bad about palm oil? Maybe it's my island roots but I am completely flummoxed by the palm oil debate.

Is real peanut butter white??? Do they add colour to the cheap kind? Hmm, now I'm worried.

Good Luck with the Ab thingy, my dad bought one once but now my mom uses it to hang laundry on!!! emoticon

My BF

Wednesday, March 09, 2011

I love my Hubby! He is my number one fan and best friend!!!!!! I remember doing a biggest loser compition after having the first baby girl, no kidding I weighed in like 6 days after she was born and weighed 203. I recall my hub not even flinching!!!! I was on the mill that same day and ran a 10 K 8 weeks later, with him by my side pushing me along. After our 1st daughter I wasn't as self conscious! I weighed 203 yes, but I wasn't the least embassessed to let my hubby know!!! He also had gained some sympathy weight! We ate mac and cheese, curly fries, icecream you name it!!!! What's funny is, I never ate that stuff before and never did with diva #2, ok maybe ice cream!!!
What was different with baby 2 was stress! Grad school is hard=eat, hubby leaving=eat. and the thought of having 2 babies alone for a year=eat.
I do not know exactly how much I weighed after baby 2 was born. I do know that the nurse said 217 at my check up and when I stated Spark I was 212. The miracle weight loss of breast feeding never happened to me!
Through all of my crazy fluctuations over the past 3 years the hubby has always been positive. And while he is gone I am going to really focus on becoming even more healthy!!!!!! I cannot give into my old habits of feeding my emotions with sugar. Maybe this time around I'll feed them with sweat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

before the babies!

After baby1

Baby2

NOW!!!
