28 Day Bootcamp DVD Day 3

Thursday, March 29, 2012

Day 3 is a rest day on the DVD... but I'm feeling like I'm on a roll... so I've ridden my exercise bike for 10 minutes and did a cardio dance DVD for 20 minutes. I might do either one a little more later this evening.... we'll see. :)

Yep. Add 15 more minutes on the bike.

I'm still doing fine with the shakes!

So glad to see this, I was wondering about this dvd, and I love reading about your progress! Way2Go! I think that as you do more exercise things and are more comfortable and more fit that the cuteness will come as you go with experience. So there is a goal for you to keep going beyond the 28 days because I know for sure that it does take longer than that. So keep going!!!

28 Day Bootcamp DVD Day 2

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

Today I did Day 2 of the DVD. It was a little harder for me because of the floor work... but when I can finally do it and do it well... I will know just how far I've come. :)

The exercise where you lay on your belly and lift your head/chest made the back of my head and neck hurt... any tips for me on that? ... (not to mention that laying on my belly was very uncomfortable because of the boob situation! emoticonDon't know how I'll get around that one! or should I say those. LOL!)

Today's workout was 22 minutes total... then my daughter did it, and while she followed the dvd... I rode my exercise bike! for 22 minutes! I ride it slow and steady, but still. I rode it without stopping! emoticon

My daughter and I made an observation... why do we feel like we look stupid while doing these workouts... when Coach Nicole looks so cute?!?! :)

on a dieting note:
I started the Body by Vi diet plan today. I had breakfast, then a shake for lunch between 12 & 12:30... and I wasn't hungry again until after 6PM! I was surprised. I had my "supper" shake a couple hours ago... and a cup of grapes, and I still feel full! I was worried about wanting to eat, but today I did well and didn't want to. :) I also drank 12 cups of water! YUM! :)

    Great job!

I am eating better (most of the time anyway emoticon) but I really need to get back on the exercise train. I drag hubby for walks when the weather is nice but I need to do more.

Good for you! emoticon

    Awesome job!

I too wonder why I feel so dopey and the teachers look so cute in workout videos?

You did great! I wanna know what you think of these shakes the further you go. It might be something I should try!

28 Day Bootcamp DVD Day 1

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

I ordered Coach Nicole's 28 Day Boot Camp DVD (currently just $7.99 with free shipping if you spend $25 www.amazon.com/Sparkpeople-28-Day-Bo
) and today it came in.

I did Day 1 already... and it's fun! I love the way it's laid out. You can choose the workout you want to do, or you can follow her 28 day plan... which is what I'll be doing. When you choose the 28 day plan on the DVD it takes you to a calendar/menu. Workouts, workout days and rest days are already planned in... all I have to do it just click the day I'm on and DO IT.

So... let's see how long I keep this up, and let's see what I accomplish with it. Tomorrow I will also be starting a meal replacement plan diet called Body by Vi... along with eating more fruits and veggies and no so much breads and meats and sweets.

I'll post my current weight and measurements tomorrow, cause I forgot to weigh this morning... and I need to buy a tape measure. :)

Anyhow... Day 1 is done! and I feel good! (insert James Brown here!)
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

btw... I'm still planning on getting Turbo Jam and/or Zumba sometime, not sure when... waiting for better prices on Amazon, I reckon... or my sis to come through. :)

I really like the 28 Day Bootcamp too! Let me know how the Body by Vi works out for you. I have been hearing a lot about it but don't know anyone who has tried it. Good luck with everything!

Zumba or Turbo Jam

Thursday, March 15, 2012

UPDATE: Library does NOT have either one.

Just looking for opinions on which you like best. I'm going to see if my library has them, also.
I have a couple of terrific friends... one does Turbo Jam and the other Zumba... they both love 'em... what do you think?

Thanks for sharing!

If your library has them, why not try them both?

I can't speak for Turbo, would love to try it sometime. But I absolutely love Zumba!!! I highly recommend going to a class to try it! It has changed my life for the better. For me, I do much better if I have a scheduled time and place to be for a workout and with a group. That way I am scheduling the rest of my day around the workout and I am more committed to be there. In my classes, I am presenting a new song each week, so there are several that are the same but always something new and fresh. It's good to have a variety so that you will use different muscles and it makes the brain think too. There is such a large variety of music, it isn't just latin music, I even have a hula dance! Wish you lived nearby so that you could try one of my classes! I am sure that you will love both choices and you will be able to try both of them out and that would give you even a larger variety!

I don't have Zumba, but I love Turbo. I think one day I am gonna get Zumba. Turbo is a blast. I totally am addicted - for almost 4 years now!

I have both but personally love the Turbo Jam. She has an upbeat, infectious spirit that just makes the workout fun.
