Rocky Horror Picture Show Advice needed

Went to RHPS tribute at Halloween Nights event at Universal Studios last night...my hubby 55, me 52 both realized we never had watched the movie..so I checked movie theatre at Citywalk and movie is showing tonight at midnight.

We are going and taking our 15 yr old son, all three virgins :). if you have watched the movie you'll understand that insert:)! The concierge at hotel said...this is the town to watch it in...many in attendance will dress up for the movie, bring props, pull people from audience...the full movie experience:o!

Any memories from SP movie fans, suggestions, warnings?!

    oh fun :) I love RHPS, to the extent that I go to our local saturday midnight showing in costume on occasion. My 16th birthday party was rocky horror themed, so I bet the 15 year old might enjoy it. Looking at the date of your post - you've already gone, so how was it?

    I hope you had fun! I can't really imagine seeing that movie with my kid, but she's only 11, maybe I'll feel different when she's 15!!!

The Duck and the Dolphin

Arrrived in Orlando yesterday afternoon..staying till Monday night..staying at Hard Rock Hotel at Universal...attending Halloween Horror Nights this weekend..so cool for Halloween holiday fans...Walking Dead is theme this year..my hubby, son and I love the series...

My favorite thing during a fall visit to the hotel is swimming early in the morning at the pool..the water temp. is cooler..no kids are in it when is just opens, so I can lap swim without dodging anyone..had a first this morning..

As I was swimming, noticed something on top of the water, raised my head to see a duck swimming right in front of me...and we swam to the side of the pool together...I'm 52 and a swimmer all my life..gave me a big smile to start my Friday...my husband said the dolphin and the duck together in their element..

Chocolate milk and oreos
Chocolate milk and pop tarts
Chocolate milk and chips ahoy

These last few months whenever I am late leaving the office...10-11pm..I have been in the habit of stopping at the convenience store (aka junk food warehouse)...and stuffing down these sweet, sugar filled items for the 20 minute drive home!

Hider pig symptoms:
Am I reeeally hungry at 10:30? No!
Are they good for me? No!
Am I eating in secret? Yes
Do I hide the evidence before going home! Yes

My change for the coming week is to eliminate this habit..only done due to stress, tired..comfort food craving..emotional eating...no more, no more, no more...

I control the choices of food coming into my body...these choices are toxins for me..this behavior has to be stopped,,,,,,period.....

You've opened the door to change. I had the same trouble with ice cream.
Then I met someone thin at a dinner in a restaurant. She ordered fish and broccoli as a side. After the meal she hadn't touched the broccoli yet, so she pick up a piece and ate it like finger food. During the meal she said "I don't eat potatoes."
That left an impression on me.

I thought: I can say I don't eat ice cream or I don't eat oreo cookies or I don't drink chocolate milk. I don't say it out loud so as not to let other people know, but I think it to myself and it has changed my attitude so much I'm having great success.

Make sure you find something non food to comfort you and treat yourself to destress
You need to be gentle to yourself and take care. emoticon

You've made a nice start here - now take it to your real world - and tell the people who love you. That will hold you accountable the next time you think you want to stop at the junk warehouse.     emoticon You are stronger than an Oreo!! Maybe listening to book on cd would be something relaxing to do on your drive home?

You are not alone in eating and hiding the evidence. Been there done that. I've got "no hidden food" as one of my goals.

Milestone date for me and DH

Looking back at all the "water under the bridge" of our marriage...had many ups/downs, happy/sad/angry moments, fun days at home, many memorable trips and adventures...as long as we row in the same boat, head the same direction...things flow smoothly!!:)

Our son was born in 1998...watching him grow up has been a joy...from 1993-2003 I was pregnant six times...he is a definite blessing and gift from God. My last pregnancy in 2003 was a stillbirth at 7 months...our son was five...he wanted a little brother soo bad. In every moment, we have to be strong and hold fast to faith in God!

Bottom line: Marriage IS a union and a daily work in progress:)!

Last week weight:222

I have kept a weight record page for a long time..today I matched my weight from last year..it was the last time I was 219...went upwards since then..so glad my efforts are working. I know it has been easier this week with husband and son gone..they come back Monday 6/10. Happy way to start my Saturday!

I am getting healthier for me..not anyone else..need to stay focused, make smart food choices.and fit exercise into my day!
