Well yesterday, i closed the ofice , laid out 2 packets each of soy sauce and duck sauce and chow down...I even crunch the bones of the wings.. Well when it was all over i still knew that i had healthy practices in place and that having chinese take-out - once monthly or once in a while is ok.. moderation .. beats over saturation of the no-no foods.. So that was it, no bells no whistles.. but it was good and I went home and had some fresh salmon salad with crackers for dinner.. so me.. I am also going to contine to view my reward log, sometimes, sometimes during the day I lose focus.. Truth in Blogging!!!!
Lunch today was late, I had my once weekly blueberry muffin and one orange, so i was hanging tough. Was going for my power walk.
Yes I walk during lunch and do liitle quick starts when i go to the bathroom. I go to the bathroom often, because i drink 8 plus glasses of water.
Oh I digress, so as I was heading down 58th crossing 3rd avenue, i thought hmm i should reward myself and have the combination: pork fried rice and fried chicken wings... As I headed towards 2nd Avenue I started pumping my arms and getting into the proper power walk groove..
Then i turned the corner at 2nd avenue and BAM there was the chinese restaurant, i felt my stride slipping and my resolve sliding... my arms stopped pumping all on their own and I was unable to hear the traffic (which is loud and vexatious to the spirit) anyway, I breathed deeply thought about it and said MONDAY.......... My boss is out and i can sit in my office and enjoy it..
So I didnt have it and on Monday I will tell you all if it was worth the wait - but in the meantime .. ME... and thanks to the Spark and my 's I passed on a temporary fix and had a great salad that was healthy and filling... so bring it on Monday
Infamous Dave's is more like it.. I did well at the restaurant Saturday. I actually divided my food in half - I dranked 2 tall cups of water w/lemon and ordered the stringbeans - removed the bacon bits, then the dry ribs and roasted chicken. I was so full after all the water that I only ate the veggies and 1 rib and a half of cornbread. Is it true that 0ne cornbread muffin has 600 calories!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway I left feeling very good. The problem occurred on Sunday I had a piece of chicken by tossing it in a salad for lunch - not so bad, but then for dinner I had about 3 ribs, my half of cornbread and my husband 1/2 of cornbread then the other half of chicken. I also had the mashed sweet potatoes, those can't be additive free.
Upon completion I felt heavy, yucky and full of meat.... Why do I have to do a combo, isnt one meat enough? Well another lesson learned. very much INFAMOUS DAVE. I now know that you are not my friend.
But I am not anymore.. I am responsible, so I listened to some inspirational music, spoke positively to myself and snapped my finger and now I am feeling groovy. Change my thoughts and changed my mood!!
