A Strong Finish to the Week!

Saturday, June 26, 2010

All goals met. Plus I have blogged everyday. I feel good about that.

Tonight I came home from game early since my head is pounding and I feel like I've been hit by a Mack truck mack.

Really haven't been mentally here all day. Felt kind of woogedy after my walk in the heat this morning and that was after a great breakfast of spinach/mushroom/swiss 2 egg omelet, pancakes and fruit. I also had 2 glasses of water before going out.

I think I'm going to retire early with my laptop and some dvds... or just go to sleep.

And yes, I slept GREAT last night.

Just a little bit of dedication to staying on the horse...

Friday, June 25, 2010

I can already feel a difference in my body... and it's getting easier too. I added a minute to my running intervals and it was not a problem at all.

I went over calories by 15, but it could be worse. (and actually today 6/26, I looked at my food tracker and found I'd accidentally added 2 oranges at lunch, so I DID stay in range!!)

I am excited to get started on my stricter plan next week.

But by getting myself some simple goals to finish the week, I stopped the negative momentum. I also think after my 4 week plan, I will do a re-evaluate and may even take up the Army program again and incorporate it into what I am doing. I go to Basic Officer Leadership Course in November and I will have to pass the APFT again before I go and be fit while I am there.

It's all good.

OK, we are on the same page....but I'm not tracking the food like a fiend yet. Fitness is my mindset right now...tone it up to make the bathing suit look a teeeny tiny bit less lumpy! LOL. Keep walking the walk...next week I will join you with bumping it up a notch. Cardio, here I come.

Together we can do this! emoticon

Stayed within calories and it wasn't much exercise, but it was...

Friday, June 25, 2010

Thursdays are harder since I work 10 hours and have only a 30 minute lunch. Today was even harder since I had to do another restaurant mystery shop. The calories were fine, but finding time to exercise didn't happen until after 10 pm. All I did was jog in place in the living room for 30 minutes, but I did burn some calories and get my steps in for the day.

Next week will be better with "The New Plan"... just need to finish this week with the mini-goals fulfilled. Just 2 days remaining for each of them... whew!

At least you took time to do the 30 minutes of jogging! Keep the wise choices going and you will see results!

New REAL Goals... going back to basics...

Wednesday, June 23, 2010

This week hasn't started out the best... I was wiped out from drill Sunday, so I took the day off from counting and exercise... Monday I did good, stayed within calories and got on the treadmill for 45 minutes... and yesterday I pigged out again and didn't exercise. Today I am doing pretty good on calories and exercised at lunch here in my office. The good news is that I still have 4 more days in the week.

My weight has been creeping up... just a little here and a little there. I am up nearly 10 lbs again... so I am going to take most of that off. So I am starting now, not next week, but NOW with new goals that are even still achievable this week.

1) I will exercise 5 days this week!
2) I will walk my 10K steps 5 days this week!
3) I will stay in calorie range 5 days this week!

For the next 4 weeks:
1) I will do treadmill 2+ times in the week and it will include 1 mile of running.
2) I will do JM 30DS 2x per week
3) I will do 2 other short JM videos per week
4) I will do 1 longer JM video per week
5) I will eat the min 2 fruit/3 veg per day
6) I will drink 8+ glasses of water per day.

There it is, a written plan. A promise to myself.

(now trundling off to make up a calendar so I can physically track this stuff)

You're always such an inspiration. Even when you feel like you're slipping, your attitude and approach are so encouraging to those of us who aren't as disciplined!

What a week!

Monday, June 21, 2010

I actually did good eating all week, didn't go horribly over any day. Exercise fell off Friday and Saturday... but I was travelling in a car for 6 hours on Friday and then had to come home and get packed up for Reserve Drill weekend and then cut out @ 0430 on Saturday morning to get there on time.

Drill was very busy on Saturday but fun. I got to drive a Humvee, a real one, through a vehicle obstacle course. I also got to fire the M16 at night with tracer ammunition. Also got to clean an M-16 again.

It was nice to get home and relax yesterday afternoon.

So totally back on the horse as of today.
