A very long day... but it's day 19 in a row!!

Went to work as usual... and had forgotten that I was playing our dietitian on TV (read as: filling in for our dietician) for WIC clinic. So I got nothing else done today workwise... argh.

My MIL is visiting this week, so Markle and his mom came over for lunch. That was nice, but that took up my usual exercise time.

I got home from work at 5 and unwound for a little bit, then made myself a huge salad. By the time I was done eating, it was time to head to my son's orchestra concert....

So I didn't get to exercising until about 10 minutes to 9 PM!

But I just got my new Leslie Sansone 3 mile video in the mail today, so I just popped it in and had a nice workout.

I am so glad I made the time to move my body, I've been antsy all day!

Monday Weigh In!

I have posted this on my regular blog too... but I'm very SQUEE! this morning!!

173.6# this morning, 31# lost, 15.2% of starting weight lost, BMI now 27.2.

I am ecstatic. I can't believe I'm knocking on the door or the 160s. In my mind I still have to pass the 180 landmark. I really can't believe this.

My size 12 jeans are getting loose already too. Wow.

Is a size 10 or smaller in my future? Medium shirts? OMG... the possibilities!!


And 17 days straight with exercise... just 13 to go to make it 30!

I also have to add emoticon since I bypassed the 30# lost mark. Those are my quiet mental goals... not ones I put out there. But it's a sort of an internal goal.

Nice day...

My Mom-in-law arrived today about 3 pm. We were expecting her and I'm blessed to have a great relationship with her. She will be here until Saturday.

We went to church this morning and that was lovely as usual. I love being a UU, it just fits me so very well. I find a great comfort just being in such a loving and accepting place.

I got on the treadmill for 35 minutes, that includes about 8.5 minutes jogged of my time, which is about half a mile. My goal is to increase the jogging to half of my usual 2 miles (15ish minutes). I also did about 10 minutes of freeweight work while on the treadmill.

I also did 20 minutes of strength/core work with free weights after my treadmill time. I'm really needing to work on my core a lot. There are some things I can do easily and some that make me cry... like plank exercises and crunches.

I am actually getting some definition in my arms, which is very strange to me.

I am still wondering what happened to the couch potato I used to be. Today was the 17th day in a row that I have done cardio exercises. My first goal is 30 days and then I will keep adding to see how high I can get.

I love goal setting!

Need to get a shower before bed. My salad for tomorrow's lunch is already made, so I just need to gather and go in the morning.

Blue Man Group was amazing last night... fun, interactive, and some really GREAT music too. I loved it. So many thanks go out to my friends for gifting me with that ticket!

Also got to see my niece Bethany play violin for state competition yesterday morning for the best possible rating... she is truly amazing. My son (who plays cello) was there too and he wants to see himself there in a few years' time.

It was a GREAT weekend, but now I need a day of rest...

Weigh in tomorrow! I am half looking forward to it and half dreading it!

The harder continues to get easier!

I'm amazed at how my body is changing for the better.

This morning my niece played violin in state solo competition and was really amazing. They were running ahead of schedule and so we had to jog/walk REALLY fast and I wasn't even winded.

I did 36 minutes on treadmill and ran for over 9 minutes again at 4.5 mph plus! I feel so amazing.

The 2 lb weights that I do for arm work while on the treadmill just aren't heavy enough anymore... so I'm switching up to 3 & 5 lb weights to continue to up the challenge and work. My arms are even started to get sculpted.

I am craving my dinner salad and I really need to go eat QUICK since my friends are coming to pick me up for the Blue Man Group Concert. They had an extra ticket and are giving it to me. (squee!)

So, it's time to break out the tuna and veggies and feast a lot!

Tomorrow will be another busy day with church in the morning and my mother-in-law arriving for a visit. Then back to work Monday.

Got my hubby back from his business trip last night (yeah!!).

Got out and walked at lunch! 2.54 miles at about 4.5 mph, I even jogged 9.25 minutes of the 34 I was out there. That helped me come up with a new goal: jog at least 5 minutes per cardio workout 5x per week!

I am also loving the April challenge on my Jane Austen SparkTeam: seeing if we can rack up enough miles walking as our walking tour of the novel Pride & Prejudice.

I am really pumped for the weekend now! Wonder how I can do tomorrow?!

Strength training tonight!!
