Water, Water, and more WATER!!

So, since I have started my healthier way of eating, I have been drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. Does anyone ever get used to drinking this much water? I find myself just guzzling it to get it over with..

    Aim for 8, and see how you feel. Some people need more, some a little less. After a few weeks of consistency you'll figure out what works best for you. Starting off with water first thing in the morning (or hot water with lemon) helps a lot!

Learning to eat

After years and years of yo yo dieting, I am learning to eat all over again. I am so tired of limiting myself to eating grilled chicken salads and shakes. After being on this site, I am learning that I can eat food I actually LIKE! It's just learning to know how much is too much. This diet this time for me is a journey into learning to realize I can enjoy food and still lose weight. And also learning not to punish myself mentally if I do have a slip up. Dieting is such a mind game....

    You said it all: "dieting is such a mind game..." I'm learning how to eat for real and still lose weight, too. It's tough, but worth the fight. To do otherwise would just cause more metabolism damage! You can do it!!!

Starting Fresh

Today I have decided to get really serious with my diet. After tracking how I eat and how I feel after I eat is making me realize the bad food choices I make are emotionally charged. I plan on stopping and thinking about what I'm going to eat and why.
