Rainy Tuesdays

Tuesday, August 09, 2011

Well day was shot for me when I got drenched after work today. I know excuses excuses but I was like a drowned rat and actually got the chills riding home. Was going to change and go out to the mall but gumption just was not there. Well I'll try again tomorrow. Good night all.

I know the rain is inconvenient but so necessary. I saw a saying today that I would like to share with you.

A fragment of a poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson is telling:

"Finish each day
And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and
Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."

Thank you for the prayers

Saturday, August 06, 2011

Well we got to see Logan today what a small child he is. He is 3lbs 10 oz now. All hooked up to the monitor was tough to see but we know it is doing him good. He needs to gain about 3 lbs before they can do the heart surgery to repair the Aorta. He looks good for what he has been through. well hopefully I'll get to post pics tomorrow. Good night all.

I have a friend who had a baby 3 months early...she only weighed 1 lb 7 oz when she was delivered. Her little huggies diapers were the size of a silver dollar! Today, she is a beautiful, smart and HEALTHY six year old...a little on the small side, but perfect just the same. She did have a lot of medical issues in her first year, including a lot of issues with her shunt, but it's been smooth sailing for her since then! She is not an unusual case these days...modern medicine (with a lot of financial help from the March of Dimes) does amazing things with preemies!! Have faith, and stay strong...little Logan will be home before you know it!!
