Did better than great today

Monday, July 23, 2012

I had my lunch all planned for the day. Ate all my veggies for the first time in ages. I did my 12 hour shift, stopped at home, hit the gym for 45 minutes, cooked, logged everything, showered, and now here I am ready for bed. Had this been a week ago I would have came home, popped in a microwave dinner, and sat in front of the computer watching How I Met You Mother and playing on Facebook until it was time for bed. I'm so excited about making changes in my life. I've been sparked. I keep saying "I can't wait to be 30!" Who in there 20s says that? My goal is to be completely transformed by the time I turn 30 (I have a ways to go its May 2014). When I get there I have every intention of challenging myself more, but I'm excited to see where I will be when I reach my weight goal. I'm feeling pretty good right now.

Its freeing

Sunday, July 22, 2012

I don't know how I know, but this time I really know I'm going to reach my goals. Its not that I didn't think so before, but now there is no thinking. Now I just know. Its kind of freeing to feel this way. I gained a confidence I haven't had in a long time. I'm not embarrassed about my body because I know soon enough it will be transformed.

Ready for a lifestyle change

Friday, July 20, 2012

I have been a member of spark for a total of 7.5 years (2 years with a different profile). Sometimes I've been dedicated to the spark, but more often I let my account sit inactive. Every time I get back on sparkpeople I lose plenty of weight. Unfortunately I eventually fall off the bandwagon and gain the weight back. It's really hard to get up and say it will be different this time, when I know I've said that so many times before. I quit smoking last March, and doing that has helped me believe in myself. It's helped me believe there is nothing I can't accomplish if I put my mind to it. So this time, when I feel like falling off the bandwagon, I can remind myself that I just can't stop. Just like I can't pick up another cigarette (which I'm happy about), I can't put down my healthy lifestyle. I am committed this time. I will be fit! I will be healthy!
