The end of my journey

Saturday, January 17, 2009

I have reached the end of my goal and will maintain and help who-ever might need some encouragement. My weight is stable and I will continue to eat healthy and exercise as I feel so much better for what I have accompilihed in this jouney. The new volumetrics diet has nothing on me as I have ate this way the whole time. I have always allowed for a small amount of the things I like and if you plan it in your total calories for the day you can have it too. If you want a piece of cake , eat the cake but you have too take the calories away from your daily calorie count. As for those who just can't stop at a small amount ,Don't try it. Eat a low calorie sweet. No one is alike and you know what you can and can't do. Splenda has made my dieting process so much better as there is nothing I can't make that I like with splenda. I am hypoglycemic and have to have so many carbs. The sweet potato fries with cinnamon and splenda has been that stable carb I need. I have made some congotions over the last two years that no one would probally think about but when I want a sweet. I want a sweet. You will all do good and I wish you well on your journey. My size x-lg--lg--and med. uniforms are gone, as I told my husband I would keep them for a year just to make sure I did not gain the weight back and I have not. So I gave them away and hope to never see that size again. Thank you all for your suport and I wish you well. Nurseing--Aka+Debra

Eating healthy isn't hard

Saturday, January 03, 2009

Eating healthy food isn't hard. We get to eat more because we chose better low calorie food that is ealthy. When I want something sweet I just make it with Splenda and then I am satisfied. I have a special eat what I want day with my Daughter but usually it is not much as I have come to know portion sizes really well over the last two years and it helps me alot. Enjoy some of the good things in moderation or you will fail to enjoy the healthy things in life. nurseing

That's good feedback. I have a terrible sweet tooth and today I satisfied it with an awesome salad that was comprised of mostly "filling foods" and only 4 WW points! It had romaine, spinach, mandarin oranges, pineapple tidbits, pomegrante, bell pepper, and chow mein noodles. I spent two extra points on some Raspberry Vinegarette. YUM!
