I am losing now!!!

Friday, September 24, 2010

I believe the last time I blogged on 09-7-10 I was 331 and very discouraged but today I am encouraged and feeling great!! I have been working out M-F for 1 hour each day in the gym. I am now 324 with my clothes on. I go by with clothes on because I will be fully dressed at the doctor's office. It's nice to see almost a two pound difference without them though!!!:) Anyways, I went back for another fill on the 16th and weighed in at 329. Total 7 pounds down for this month and we still got a week left!! I will be out of the 320's the next time I blog! I hope everybody have a good weekend!!! I am!

Today was a good day! So far this fill is good.

I feel a whole lot better today!!!! I did 1hr in the gym today and increased my time to 25 min on the eliptical which is major for me! LOL! Well, since I have been working out everyday I have lost 3 pounds which is more than I did for the whole month of August. I guess I should not rely on a fill so much! Whether I get to my sweet spot or not nothing but me is stopping me from going to the gym! I am going to hit the repeat button for next week also!!!!:) I hope I can stay motivated and get out of the 300's by mid November. I am hoping this fill here is my sweet spot! Right now it's good. I am so excited about losing some weight! I just hate I waited so late to join the gym because apparently my workouts at home wasn't doing the trick! Everybody have a great weekend!!!

No results with Doctor!

Tuesday, September 07, 2010

Well, I will be getting a new fill doctor this month. I was banded on 2.23.10 and today I went in for a fill and was only put at 5.5cc's. I am not losing weight and I can eat a whole cup of food without feeling any restriction. She said I should stop at 1/2 cup anyways and just eat another 1/2 cup if I get hungry again. Well if I could just use my own will power at 1/2 cup without feeling full do she really believe I would have had this sugury???????? I mean if I had the self-control to stop at 1/2 cup I would have used the couple of thousand dollars to go shopping with instead of having the band put in. I have been working out everyday for a week now and it didn't do anything but I hope it shows by next week and I changed my routine up so maybe that will help also. I am so tired of feeling like a failure when I go into their office to weigh in.

I have found that when I don't get enough, my body stores what I do eat. Remember: protein is fuel for fat burning. As long as you are active, you can surprisingly have a lot. I try to make sure that most of my calories are from lean proteins. Also, keep an eye on whether or not you are eating protein first!! I usually eay my meat, then any cheese, then veggies/fruits.

Thanks Amanda, I am not sure if I get the recommended amount of protein I will start tracking that!

I am sorry to hear you are struggling! =(
Hang in there and see what the new doctor says. Do you see a nutrition counselor too? Perhaps youre not getting enought protein? IDK, but it might be worth looking into. Keep us posted. I'll be praying for you.

XOXO

Amanda

Starting over

Tuesday, August 03, 2010

So, I figured something was kind of fishy about my old scale and I bought a new one. My new scaled showed I was 7 pounds more than what I thought! So disappointing!( Now I have to start all over again with liquids this week in order to get those pounds off before Aug 9th weigh in at my Dr.'s office. I guess my nightmare was true that I blogged about last time! I am going to do this though! NOTHING is going to get in my way this week! (I really hated to adjust my weight tickler, but I must stay true to myself).

Wow, sorry to hear that. However, just stay focus and be positive and the pounds will begin to melt off.

Those stinkin' scales can be such a downer. But remember, it's not always about the scale. Are you staying active? Eating right? How are your clothes fitting you? Focus on those things and make sure that you are doing the right things - that number is just a number, it is part of the whole but not the whole part.
Keep doing the right things and good things follow (like your panties sliding all around you and you have to buy smaller ones!).

It is ok. Just get back on track. Having good true information is important. You can do this.

Nightmare!

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

My scale is harassing me!!! I dreamed I broke the corner of my scale last night! I feel so tortured every time I step on it. I know it's built to stand a weight up to 400lbs, but I am afraid every time.

I know how you feel ! I was at one time 336 pounds and I just disliked that scale I could just throw it ! I made up my mind and got busy walking and walking each and every day until things started happening ! I made the effort and struggled with eating habits until weight started dropping off and I started feeling better. You can do the same! Its just getting fired up to do something about it and not looking back ! More meals (small ones and snacks every 2-3 hours). God Bless You, Rev. Mike

Dont be afraid dear, the scale will be fine. and you will be fine too, as the pounds drop away. You will start feeling better and better. And besides, if the darn thing breaks, it must be defective and you can just replace it. I broke my scale when I started and got a nicer one. emoticon
