Had a fun day yesterday. Took our 5 grandkids to the Lincoln Park to the playground. The 2 yr. old doesn't realize that he can fall off things and hurt himself. I had forgotten how the 2's are LOL. That memory just isn't getting any better. We had a great time and then met Mom at McDonalds for lunch. Love their salads with grilled chicken and balsalmic dressing. Makes a wonderful lunch for loosing weight and adds plenty of veggies.
Met at the museum for the walking tour of Grand Junction. It was 84' out and plenty warm in the sun. Thank goodness there are a lot of trees in town. We have a pretty main street. The tour guide, Zeulon Miracle (I like that name), had pictures of G.J. before anything was built there, the first house and many other old pictures. I didn't realize a walking tour could be so fascinating.
The Dalby-Wendland Bldg. was added on to many years ago and you can see where the building is coming apart at the seam. The original building was narrow and 1/2 block long. The addition is the same width as the original but only two rooms deep. Looking at it from the alley, they look like two different buildings.
Today I get my hair fixed and this afternoon we are going with a group to Montrose for dinner and then to Ridgeway for a concert with Dino. Dino is a concert pianist. He has a place in Branson. He has been to G.J. a couple of times many years ago. I have 4 of his "Peace" cd's. They have running water, birds singing and are very peaceful and relaxing.
