Day 12

11/12
Had a busy day planned today but didn’t have ANY energy. I pushed myself on my workout yesterday – it felt so good – and today I ended up being a couch potato. I had 10,703 steps yesterday and usually have between 5 and 7,000. This has happened before after a day where I was exceptionally active. I decided my body needed this day off and took it. I will get back on track tomorrow. emoticon

Drink 8 glasses of water a day. emoticon
Eat 3 fruits/veggies a day. emoticon
Loose 3 lbs
Don’t go over calorie limit. emoticon

Do knee exercises, yoga, cardio for a total of 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week

I want you to know that you are doing an awesome job, your attitude is fantastic and you are very motivated. There is nothing wrong with a day off, if the body is calling for it, we should rest.

Days 10 and 11

11/10, 11
Wed. was a discouraging day for me. I have only lost .6 of a pound this month and my goal was 3 lbs. I checked my Spark Summary Calendar and I have been in my eating range every day and have exercised for 30 minutes a day or more except Sun. I also missed exercising on Sat. – craft fair.

Thurs. was a much better day. I am back to my positive self. Went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the treadmill at an increased pace and went 1.5 miles on the bike. I am going to do this no matter what the scales say. I am getting healthier and stronger.

You are doing everything that you are suppose to be doing. Sometime that scale doesn't show all the good things that you do. You got more than 1/2 the month yet and also , any release of weight is a good thing.
Just keep on doing what you are, success will be yours.

    Yvonne, you are doing awesome! Remember that sometimes that ole scale lies! It can be persnickety and take time to catch up with what we're doing. Just keep doing what you know to do, and it will have NO OPTION but to go in the right direction! As you know, eating and exercising will help you feel better - and after all, that's the most important thing, anyway:-) The change of the scale is really the side benefit:-) It'll come - it won't have any choice!

Day 9

11/8/10
Had GS this morning. When they got here, his Mom opened the door about an inch. I went over a peaked out. He was peaking in. He is so adorable. We went to the mall and walked/ran. He didn’t run as much as usual – too busy looking around. After our walk, we went to Target so I could push him in the cart and get some more exercise. Then we went to the toy department and played with the toys. I love trying all the noisemakers out and with my GS there, I had a good excuse too. What a fun morning.

Day 7

Tuesday, November 09, 2010

11/7
Did my yoga exercises in the morning. Went to lunch with a friend, stopped at the grocery store and then went to the gym. I did 65 minutes of exercises today. Kept my food under the calorie limit. It was at the high end and I need to keep it at the low end to loose weight. Got my water and F/V in. In other words I had a good day.

Day 6 and 7

11/6 and 7
Had a wonderful day today. My DIL called and asked me to go to a craft fair with her. I got some pumpkin butter, peach salsa, a Christmas gift for GD, and cookies. I didn’t say cookies did I. ;-) They were all homemade and we got to pick out what cookies we wanted. Will freeze most of them for Christmas.

After the craft fair, we went to lunch and then shopping. What a special day. Unfortunately I didn’t get any exercise in. :-(

    Sounds like a great weekend Yvonne and I agree with the others, all that walking probably got you more exercise than you realize. My kids were helping at the bazaar the ladies group at my work hosted on Saturday. I know there were several others around the valley as well.

    Hi Yvonne
You said you had a wonderful day and You did. You were disappointed in not making a goal. As suggested by others, when you were at the craft show, you were not riding anywhere , you were walking, walking is an exercise. That is why I loved wearing the pedometer, it shows all the steps we take and each step is exercising. So, I think instead of not making your exercise goal, I would give you credit for it.
Something you said at the beginning was you had a wonderful day. I thought, I have never seen anyone including myself that had as a goal, have a wonderful day. I believe that part of healthy living that allows our mind to function better is having great feelings during the day. that than allows our body to function healthier. I guess my point is you had a wonderful day and that is awesome.

    Good morning,
You said you got no exercise. If I know anything about craft sales, you did a lot of walking there. Sometimes, we forget the various ways of getting exercise.

Sometimes, I go to garage sales (in and out of car and walking around) to get exercise.

Another thing I do at church when we are standing singing the uptemple songs, I move my feet and arms to the music. Amazing how much exercise we get doing that.
