I read a great "Secret of Success" today about looking at pictures to 'inspire' desire. This person found images that would pop up on her desktop and motivate her for certain things.

Eating fruits:

Eating Veggies:

Drinking water:

Exercising:

Getting or giving support:

Thought this was a GREAT idea!

Christmas Picture and Note this year

Thursday, December 09, 2010

Greetings from the Northwoods! Here’s a quick glance of everyone. Dennis is still working at Besse Forest Products and traveling 3 out 4 weeks. Susan continues to stay busy at home and continues homeschooling six of the kiddos. Nicholas is going to the University of WI--Stout and is enjoying his new experience at the university. Nate is living and working in Wyoming and loves life surrounded by mountains! He even went scouting for elk and LOVED it! Andrew is a senior this year and will graduate in 2011. He works at a local dairy farm and continues to enjoy writing for his favorite pastime hobby. Jonathan is busy with bow hunting, intarsia projects and just enjoying ALL of life! He is so enthusiastic about whatever he puts his heart into. Daniel is heavily into trapping. He’s trapped several skunks and raccoons and is totally hooked! Stephen’s highlight of the year was passing hunter’s safety AND going deer hunting for the first time. Mary’s highlight is taking horseback riding lessons from our dear friend! She LOVES Shietan [her ‘adopted’ horse] that she rides during her lesson. And, last but certainly NOT least, is our baby boy, Sammy! He LOVES life! He keeps us continually entertained! He misses his ‘buddies’ Nick and Nate and tells me that almost daily! He still has problems saying his ‘L’s’ and say’s ‘Y’s’ instead so the other day we saw a truck with a HUGE load of logs. He shouted, That’s a YOT of YOGS! We still laugh over that one!

May the Lord give you a VERY blessed 2011 and may this CHRISTmas season be filled with His love, joy and peace.

Can you believe Chrustmas is 2 weeks from today? Doesn't seem like it as I sit here in a beach resort, though they are now decorating. Christmas music in the restaurant each evening. But the sun, sand and ocean don't say, "Christmas!" to me. I'll be home tomorrow night and then will get back in the spirit. Love your photo and letter ... And I thank God for the Susie2Susie connection we've got going!

The KNOTS prayer

Wednesday, December 08, 2010

The Knots Prayer

Dear God:
Please untie the knots
that are in my mind,
my heart and my life.
Remove the have nots,
the can nots and the do nots
that I have in my mind.

Erase the will nots,
may nots,
might nots that may find
a home in my heart.

Release me from the could nots,
would nots and
should nots that obstruct my life.

And most of all,
Dear God,
I ask that you remove from my mind,
my heart, and my life all of the "am nots"
that I have allowed to hold me back,
especially the thought
that I am not good enough.

Amen

-Author Known to God

Kissing the face of God...

Tuesday, December 07, 2010

I have 2 girlfriend's that are about to deliver 'close-to-Christmas' babies and it causes me to ponder how MARY must have felt to deliver the son of God. My son looked at this photo and wood burned it for me for Christmas a few years ago because I LOVE to think upon Mary kissing the face of God.

I love this blog and thank you so much for sharing. He did such a marvelous job with the wood burning, that really took a special gifting from him. Yes, Christmas time is a time for miracles and wonders and love and peace on earth to all men not the kind of peace the world calls peace but the peace of God that only God can extend to all who will receive His special soul and spirit peace. Have a great month of December and Christmans and New Year. Stay blessed and receving from our Lord all the time. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
