Hike to St. Peter's Dome

Monday, October 04, 2010

Morgan Falls/St. Peter's Dome
Chequamegon National Forest, Sanborn

The 1600-ft. red granite dome is the highest point in the Chequamegon National Forest. On a clear day, you can see Lake Superior 20 miles to the north. At the south fork of Morgan Creek, a small stream cascades 70 feet down the face of a rock cliff, forming a spectacular waterfall to a small shaded pool. It is a one-half mile hike from the parking lot to Morgan Falls, and beyond the falls, about one-mile to the top of St. Peter's Dome.

Here I go, my dear SP friends! This is on my SparkList and I've lived her almost 21 years and have NEVER done it! I'll post pictures when I get back. :-)))

Love you much!

I haven't been there yet either. I'll be looking for your pictures. Maybe I will still be able to find time to get up there this season.

I set before you this day LIFE and Death…choose life

My girlfriend shared this today and I'm SO incredibly touched! This is the great debate in our country! May we stand strong AGAINST death and embrace LIFE! Our nation is pathetically responsible for embracing a silent holocaust and my heart breaks [and yet, rejoices that she is alive and a powerful voice] over this testimony!!!!
