We all talk about the changes we want. If we are not talking about it, we hear others talking about the changes they want.
"I want to be more healthy."
"I want to lose weight."
"I want a better job."
"I want to make more money."
We all have goals and changes we want that go unresolved. So we talk a lot about wanting them to change. But how often does anyone really do anything about changing? In fact, after a while we start hearing the wants turning into complaints. Then the complaints turn into negative reasons why success is not possible. My problems are not so easily overcome."
"I don't have the time or money or ability." There are an endless number of reasons.
I've had people telling me they're stuck and have all kinds of reasons why they can't do or overcome certain things or avenues in their lives. "My doctor says I can't have that because of the medications I'm on." My schedule is to hectic I don't have the time." I don't like to workout." or "I can't remember to do that." Basically what I'm hearing is that they have no control over their own behavior."
Here's one we have all heard from someone, "I'm not a morning person."
If I were to offer that same "non-morning person" a million dollars to be a morning person starting tomorrow morning. No need to be embarrassed because most people no different than yourselves would jump at the chance, "For a million dollars I'll do it!" So in truth, it's not that you're not a morning person, or that you don't have the time or any of the other reasons you give that prevent you from the changes you want, You have forgotten that you have the empowerment you've simply lost the motivation to refind it.
With the right motivation, and it doesn't have to be money, we can most definitely change and create winning actions in our lives. We may be in a momentary situation, a temporary stepping stone, but we are not locked into any behavior. We need to stop placing limits on ourselves and talking about the changes we want and the reasons we can't achieve them.
We are all empowered to redefine ourselves and create the lives we want. Let me show you how powerful you are. Smile, that's tight, just smile. Now let me ask you this: Right now, could anything stop you from smiling once you decided to smile? Barring a sudden, catastrophic natural disaster, the answer is no, nothing can. The only thing that could stop you from smiling is...you!
In fact, nothing can stop us from finding just the right exercise; cardio activity that will get those feel good hormones pumping and the heart racing, eating right, to make your lives better. Even with all the present health issues you may have whether physical or emotional Nothing can stop you from anything you want to improve in your life except you. You are the only obstacle in your life. The mind is a powerful thing!
We need to stop blaming outside factors for our behavior. There is no boogeyman keeping us from creating the life we want. We also have to stop looking for shortcuts. We tend to fall into the trap of wanting instant gratification and there are plenty of folks trying to sell that junk. I hate to be the one to tell you this but there is no magic pill that will make you thin, cure your life in seven days, get rich over night or have great abs in two weeks.
There is only one sure way to success and that's doing the work. This means we must go into action. Get motivated to change right now! Step one Knowledge is power. The greatest power we have. We have that and we also have motivational power. Have we not just established that being powerful is as simple as smiling?
Change we all want it. I wanted it, needed it. Doc said I was onset Adult Diabetes, Arthritis, High blood pressure, high cholesterol, IBS and obesity. If I kept the lifestyle I was presently living I would be dead in five years.
But I had to first have the desire, the determination, commitment, followed up with consistency and taking back the control.
These were the 3 steps that became my journey to optimal health and weightloss.
After that it was learning what to eat to get those optimal results; high density micro-nutrient foods and how much 90% of fruits vegetables, nuts, seeds and complex carbs. The other 10% would come from dairy and protein.
From there I increased my cardio activity simple walking. I started out at a half hour a day 6 days a week. Today I am up to 8 miles and 2.5 hours 6 days a week.
And I HAVE had instant gratification. In the nine months I've been doing this Nutritarian lifestyle I have lost a total of 95 pounds. 20 of them being within the first 6 weeks. Since then its been roughly 10 pounds a month after that! I've also went from a size 26 to a size 16 to date.
I'm not going to change or try to fix what isn't broke.
So go! Continue having that great day and smile, because not only are you powerful, I know you've just made the decision to get into action to achieve the changes you want. Now let's go get them!

Right now this minute what is your perception of yourself; mind body and spirit? I think we've all been to the fair and stood in front of the distorting mirrors? You know the kind that make you look different from what you really are?
Now I want you to imagine that you've removed all the ordinary mirrors in your own house and replaced them with these distorted mirrors. I said every mirror. So now month after month year after year all you are going to see when you gaze into a mirror is you distorted body; three feet high and three feet wide and warped.
So whatever emotional hurdle you are going through that's causing this warped perception of yourself because of outside influences; what family and friends make you feel, make you think that this is how others see you; right now that picture you have of yourself is distorted to the point that that is all you are seeing. How long have you been going through life believing that is what we look like? How long have you been going through life making decisions based on your PERCEPTION of who you THINK you are?
Here is the truth about our lives; WE ARE AT THE MERCY OF THE MIRRORS OF OUR LIFE TO GET A GOOD IDEA OF WHO WE REALLY ARE. This is true not only by our feelings about how we look Physically but also BY WHO WE FEEL WE ARE EMOTIONALLY AND SPIRITUALLY. WE HAVE MIRRORS IN OUR LIVES AND FROM THE TIME WE ARE VERY SMALL THEY REFLECT WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE ARE WORTH.
One writer said "The parents of a child serve as a kind of mirror for the child They give the child a sense of their feelings and worth even before the child figures this out and gets a sense of who he or she is." And I think that is what happened for all of us. From the moment that we are self aware that we existed we began to pick up signals that sought to answer the question "What kind of person am I?" We were looking for certain clues. The way we were spoken to, tone of voice, the way we were touched, facial expressions that would give us some kind of understanding as to WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE WERE WORTH.
The people who you grew up with especially your parents whether they did a good job or not whether they understood it or not THEY UNCONSCIOUSLY REFLECTED WHO WE WERE AND WHAT WE WERE WORTH.
All of us, including myself, have had to deal with these distorted mirrors giving a false picture of ourselves to some degree or another. And sadly all of us have been distorting mirrors for OTHER PEOPLE TOO.
"I was once told that when Children are born they need a bridge to important people in their lives, their and that bridge is built on trust and words of encouragement affirmation looks of love and so on.
When that bridge gets broken, when affection is withdrawn and love becomes conditional. When that happens the child is convinced its their fault and shame occurs.
This also takes place in our adult lives.
IT'S TIME TO CHANGE THE MIRRORS.
We need to bring what we has been causing us to feel abased out into the open because "SHAME" ALWAYS SEEKS TO HIDE. WE NEED TO STOP HIDING we need to find real mirrors to look into.
2 Where does the power to overcome Shame come from?
One of the ways to OVERCOME SHAME IS
TO SEE WHEN SHAME IS JUST JUNK PUT INTO OUR LIVES FROM THE PAST. By others and circumstances. From distorted mirrors. But also TO SEE THAT SHAME ALSO COMES FROM THE FACT THAT I HAVE DONE BAD THINGS AND HAVE HURT MY SELF AND OTHERS IN THE PROCESS. I will begin the path of recovery and overcoming when I admit my mistakes, my sin, and all that has hurt me and others.
Whether our shame is caused by others or by our self WE DO NOT HAVE TO REMAIN IN SHAME. Our first step in OVERCOMING SHAME IS TO ACCEPT. “I DO NOT HAVE TO STAY AT THIS PLACE CALLED SHAME I CAN MOVE ON AND HAVE A BRAND NEW START."
And that’s where a lot of us are. We have followed in the footsteps others have laid out for us. We have listened to so many voices that we have become what they said we should be.
We have been trapped by other peoples lies
We have become disillusioned with Life and what life has made us into. We have become locked into SHAME FOR SUCH A LONG TIME and the essence of this is SLOW DEATH
LISTEN TO ME! WE HAVE THE EMPOWERMENT TO CHANGE THOSE LYING MIRRORS OF PERCEPTION. THEY ARE DISTORTED. THEY ARE NOT OUR TRUE MIRRORS! WE ARE NOT WHAT OTHERS HAVE CAUSED US TO THINK WE ARE OR TO BE. WE ARE BETTER THAN THAT.

It's taken me many years to come to understand that what we eat has everything to do with our health and that even though we are living in a decade, century of rapid science advancement that is suppose to be helping us live better, longer than ever before when in fact exposure to more so called medical advancement and cures does NOT beget super immunity. In fact it has become so much more a part of the problem. Instead of preventative medicine and proper health care like robots all we think about is getting shots taking drugs or having diagnostic tests as a belief system when in fact all it does is create a vicious cycle of more medical care shots, drugs and diagnostic tests.
Here is the actual truth! The Kaiser Health Foundation studied this issue in depth and determined that at least one third of medical spending alone is devoted to services that DON'T improve health or the quality of care!
Even when we catch the simplest of colds they turn into Sinusitis that lasts for months or flu they linger for weeks before running their course. Or we have a cough that lingers for additional months. The most minor illnesses are turning into and have turned into major calamities that require more and more medications in trying to clear them up. I can attest to this myself!
Just this year I had a Spring cold and it turned into Sinusitis and I still have phlegm that gathers in the back of my throat during the night! I wake up every morning trying to gag and swallow.
Sure the medications help initially but after awhile they don't work any more and the problem reappears. Or they cause other health issues and complications because of impaired natural immunity that results from a combination of inadequate nutrition and medications that have degraded our bodies ability to protect itself..
We've always been taught that viruses are passed from person to person via hand-to-face behavior but are otherwise unavoidable.If this is true, why do some of us get sick more often than others? Ever wonder what makes some more susceptible?
What if I told you that I had found out how to naturally build our immune defenses with simple proper nutrition? Defenses so strong that it prevents diseases like Cancer?

Let me put it this way: Our liver is the like the “most valuable player” when it comes to keeping us healthy and slim. It controls the levels of various chemicals in our body, cleans poisons and toxins out of our system, and helps regulate the amount of fats in our body by producing bile, which digests the fats we eat. In a nutshell,it carries a huge responsibility.
Many people ignore this key organ however, by doing and eating things that cause it to work less efficiently, or even to break down. With a little daily maintenance, we can keep our liver running in tip-top shape — and help it help us to lose weight and get healthier because what we eat has everything to do with our health, To do this all we have to do is
Twice a day, just before a meal, drink a cup of warm water with the juice of half a fresh lemon or a tablespoon of apple-cider vinegar. This lemon water or vinegar water aids in bile formation, resulting in more efficient fat metabolism.
Eat protein every day, preferably at every meal. The liver needs the amino acids from protein to produce bile and make all the enzymes used in detoxification.
Seeds
Nuts and seeds contain healthy fats and are rich in a spectrum of micronutrients including phytosterols, minerals, and antioxidants. Countless studies have demonstrated the cardiovascular benefits of nuts, and including nuts in the diet aids in weight maintenance and diabetes prevention. The nutritional profiles of seeds are similar to nuts when it comes to healthy fats, minerals, and antioxidants, but seeds are also abundant in trace minerals, higher in protein than nuts, and each kind of seed is nutritionally unique. Also, black sesame seeds are extremely rich in antioxidants. The healthy fats in seeds and nuts also aid in the absorption of nutrients when eaten with vegetables. are a great source of protein, plus they have the added benefit of being naturally rich in lecithin, a substance your liver needs to produce bile. Get essential fatty acids daily, especially omegas-3s, from walnuts, flaxseed and/or flaxseed oil, salmon, fish-oil supplements, or cod-liver oil.
Essential minerals such as copper, magnesium, and zinc play an important role in liver detoxification, along with vitamin C, most of the B vitamins, folic acid, and flavonoids (found in richly colored vegetables such as sweet red peppers).
Your body is like a car. In order to keep it running, you need to put high-quality gas in the fuel tank, investigate when you hear something strange clanking under the hood, and do everything you can to keep it running in optimum condition. Exploring the unseen world can be well worth your while as there are many gifts awaiting you there.
Just because we cant see something doesnt mean it doesnt exist, although this is a common way in which we continually are in denial over the existence of spirit guides, angels, and other unseen helpers in our lives. However, for one who has encountered such beings can attest to the fact that they do, indeed, exist, just as our breath exists, keeping us alive, even though we cant see it. And just who has seen the wind lately? The wind exists, too, but we only know this because we feel it on our skin and hear it moving the leaves on the trees. So there are things all around us and within us that are invisible to the naked eye, yet we know they are just as real as the beating of our hearts.
What we see and dont see may just be a matter of perspective. It's like the ladybug who sees the leaf on which she sits, but not the tree the leaf grows on, or the person sitting beneath it. And the person beneath the tree may or may not see the ladybug, depending on where he focuses his attention. Still, all of these things, whether seen unseen still exist in reality. Some people are more gifted at accessing that which we cannot see, but given an open and willing heart, anyone can tune into the invisible realm and begin to find their way.
We as human beings have always done this, and it is only recently that we have fallen into distrusting the existence of what we cant see. If you have lost touch with the unseen world, all you have to do is resolve to open your heart to its existence, and it will make itself known. Closing your eyes in meditation and visualization, or engaging the unseen through the written word, are just two ways to welcome the invisible back into your life. Whatever you choose to do, cultivating a relationship with that which you cant see is a time-honored human practice that can greatly enrich and enhance our lives.

Why is it that it seems that one of the hardest things in life is feeling stuck in a situation that we don’t like and want so badly to change it? Could it be that we just may have exhausted ourselves; spent all of our energy in trying to figure out how to make change, and in the end possibility may even have given up? However, each day offers us an opportunity to renew our resolve and to declare to the universe that we are ready for change. We may even say out it aloud that we have tried and struggled and have not been able to found a solution, and in throwing up our hands in what seems and feels like defeat, that we are open to help. This in itself makes the statement that we are still intending to keep working to create change for ourselves. Without realizing it, that in making this declaration to the universe, and to ourselves, that it just may be the remedy for the stagnation we are experiencing. And, it can be done today, right now.
It is difficult to understand, even with hindsight, how the choices we have made have added up to our current situation, but it is a good thing to take a step back and access what we tell ourselves. If we tend to negatively regard ourselves as defeated, this does without any doubt block our ability to allow ourselves success. This is when we need to dig down deep and access that empowerment that we have. Because no matter what we are feeling in our present state we do have the power to change both our mental and physical states. To do this we need to acknowledging that in the past, we did our best, and we exhibited many positive qualities, and had many fine moments on our path to the present moment. We can also recognize that we have learned from our experiences, and that this will help us with our current choices.
My father always told me "there's a lesson to be learned here."
When we view our past self, we make it possible for the future to be based on a positive self-assessment. This inner shift allows us to make good our escape of the cycle we’ve been in that’s been keeping us stuck. In this we are able to declare our intentions to ourselves and the universe, knowing that we have done the inner work necessary to allow our lives to change. Let's allow today to be the day to end cycles and enter into a new way of being.
