I was deep fried!

Had a great weekend kayaking and camping. But i waited to long to re-apply sunscreen and look like a lobster. Stripped down, the front of me looks like i have a white bikini top and shorts on. The rest is red....well turning purple now. Blisters started last night and today. I've been using Silvidene, Burn Jel Plus and Aloe. Any suggestions? I've heard vinegar and tea. How do i do those?

    I pick a team each day and find someone that is not on my friend list and read there page and blog, and today it is you. And as soon as I got to your page I recognized your icon, you have been on my page before.

Sorry about the sunburn, they are so painful and then the blisters, ouch. I feel for you. The vinegar you just dab on, but you have such a large area, maybe put it in a spray bottle and just spray yourself. Hope you get relief soon. Linda

    They make this stuff call sunscreen that is awesome. emoticon

Aloe vera is a tried and true remedy ,

Take care of your skin while you're young - I think the science is saying that damage during that stage may lead to the bad stuff later.

Kayaking/Camping trip

Going kayaking Saturday morning, camping on the sand bar and leaving Sunday morning. We love to kayak, but haven't went in a few years. Our two friends invited us and i guess there will be 8 or 9 other people too. We have never camped while kayaking, so i'm trying to make a list of what we need, and figure out how to fit it all in the 2 kayaks. We bought a small two person tent, and a one burner small propane stove. We can share a sleeping bag and pillow. For food were thinking maybe sandwiches for lunch, and not sure on dinner yet. Bringing a small pan with us for ham and egg whites for breakfast. I'm a little nervous to meet new people. And i tried on my two piece bathing suite from last year and it was bad. I have gained about 15lbs since and it definitely shows. I will probably cover it with shorts and a sleeveless shirt. At least my arms will get a good workout. And its going to be sunny and 80 during the day and 60 for a low.

Work golf outing

Every year my work has a golf outing for one afternoon. We close down the office at 12pm, go eat lunch then golf until about 4pm. This will be my exercise for today.

But we also get free drink tickets.... a lot of drink tickets. I usually have quite a few drinks but this time I'm going to try to take it slow. Since it's going to be 82 and sunny, I'm going to try to stick with water.....But i might have a drink or two in between waters. We'll see.

Busy Busy

My schedule
6am-wake up, get the girls up and ready, feed the dog and let him out, make my lunch (i really should make my lunch the night before to save time) Drop one kid off at daycare and the other at her Nana's, go to work
415pm-get off work, pick up the girls, get home around 5pm
500pm-start making dinner, usually eat around 530pm, depends on what im making, eat dinner
645-Swimming lessons for youngest until 715pm, then go home and get baths/showers for girls
800-Put the girls to bed, then I finally get to shower. And me the hubby get to watch one or two episodes of Dexter, then go to bed

I really need to squeeze in some time for exercising. I stair step at work for 15-30 min a day, but that's it. I'm just so tired by the time i get a chance.

Change is hard

Day #33 of no smoking, but i'm still using my vaper e-cig thingy. I want to change flavors and lower the nicotine level. I have noticed that I've been using it less and less. emoticon

I have been eating healthier and watching my portions. Yesterday my work brought in Jethros BBQ (which i love!) So i had a small bowl of the Macaroni and Cheese (my fav) and stuck with the healthy lunch that i brought. On the weekends we tend to eat out a lot, but I choose a healthy salad or chicken rather than fries and burgers. emoticon

Last night i decided not to drink. Then i decided i would only have 3 beers. But then it turned into 6 beers. So, I'm starting over....again....going to try to be AF tonight emoticon
