Good Morning; I got up early and got in my exercise. I feel a little tired but great about getting my exercise in early. I think this is a good strategy for the weekend. Things start getting crazy on weekends. I hope you plan a strategy which is flexible when changes need to be made. Usually, I fall apart when change enters my plans. I used to think I must keep to the plan or just throw it away when it needed to be changed. Today I have a plan, but I am making changes already and that is ok. That is really living, life needs to be fluid at times.     HI, good evening, I got home and hopefully tomorrow will be a bit back to normal, I think it will be, I have been getting in my steps and exercise the last two days, and of course ate a bit more than I should have. I gotta straighten up because I have to weigh in tomorrow, for sure. I will be on in the morning, and start out the day with some movemnet.

I agree, exercise has to be put at the top of the list. Otherwise it is easy to avoid. I always get in most of my cardio in the morning before anybody else in the house is awake. No distractions!

Good morning; the holidays are getting nearer and nearer. I am following my plan that I have made this year to tap down stress levels. It has taken me many years to get this in place. It usually falls apart by now. This year I am calm, happy and enjoying the season. I hope you are managing well in this high stress season. The first thing to do is to choose a different direction. A conscious effort can make a plan a success. It also helps if you friends and family are engaged and positive about your plan. Part of my success so far is my DH being part of a weight loss program and having success. He was a major saboteur at this time of year. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Stress seems to be my constant companion and I really NEED to find a way to tone it down. I thought that having my husband back from Afghanistan would make it go away, and don't get me wrong, it has helped, but I realized that I just stress about other stuff now. UGH!

My goals next year, is to seriously look for ways to DE~STRESS and take it seriously!

    Good Morning, I was up before 4:00 this morning, lots to do, so little time, I know what you mean about stress, just not enough hours in the day, but I love the Christmas season, almost everyone is much more pleasant, I think it just rubs off on people, like that advertisement, where one person being kind, snowballs into lots of good deeds. Oh well, I hope you know what I am talking about, you have to see it.
I will not get alot of exercise done today, I have to leave early to sit with my friend, I hopefully will get in steps, in fact, that is part of why I am up so early, so I can do my treadmill 1/2 hour or so. I will get my 10,000 steps in and that is good enough for me today, have a wonderful day. Hugs Mary

Good morning; I have been exercising so much that I had a hard time getting to sleep. So I got up and took a hot bath to soothe my aching legs. I did get good sleep after the bath. This morning, I feel good and will exercise very soon. I have much to do today. I am very upbeat b/c I am enjoying the holidays without overeating. Every one enjoy the day. take time out for yourself. Look in the mirror and tell that person that she or he is loved unconditionally.     I also exercised late and paid with legs that didnt want to relax, but I did get my 10,000 steps in just barely, but that is what my goal is, so today I will get it done slower, plenty of time, It is a nice day out, so maybe I will get out there soon, and see what is happening in my back yard, actually I can see it all from my door, so no surprises there. I have another busy day in front of me, not as much fun as yesterday, but a lot to get done, tomorrow, I am going to go and spend the day and night with a good friend who is having minor surgery, and needs to have someone with her for a few days, so I figured tomorrow and tomorrow night I could fit right in, not sure what time, so not sure I will get on line much, but we will see. Good morning; I am having a slow start this morning. It is cold in the house. I turned off the heat last night and it got cold. I like to layer to keep warm but I forgot to program the thermostat to go on. I was so tired that I just hit the pillow and fell asleep. I will have a cup of tea and then hit the exercise. have a good day and gets some exercise in today. Take precautions in this cold weather if you exercise outside. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Good Morning, it rained here last night, most of the night, so I slept great, and here I sit with my cuppa coffee, thinking about what all I need to do, and hoping I can finish something today.
I will get my bootcamp video out of the way right now, that alsways seems to get me started.
Then changing the bed and a load of laundry.

Good morning; I am up and about to exercise. I have been stepping up my exercise. My son told us another twist to his process. they are making them do PT which he would not mind but his back is in bad shape again. He does not have to run but he has to bend and do other movements. We told him he could go to the doctor and tell him. He is once again pushing through the pain. He will be seeing a neurosurgeon in 3 weeks for a consultation. He is handling things better than I would. Any way, my daughter called and told me that she will not be here for Christmas day but the day after. Her BF & her are driving a uhaul with her stuff home and then onto New Mexico. She got 2 jobs offers but now must chose. Her new companies have moving expenses in the offers. This reminds me when I was first married. We could handle anything together. Have a wonderful day and get some movement in.     Hi, I get later and later, well, not as bad as last night, but, what a busy time of year, and I forget, just how hectic it is, but I got my 10,000 steps in with no problem, plus. and I have just a bit more done, so that is good. most of my exercise will be in the walking, jogging today, again, but, I will get a little strength in also, a bootcamp video, I like them, and they are fast only about 8 to 10 minutes plus the stretches, do you do them? I am trying to build some muscle, and I realize I have never been a strong woman, but, I want to be able to do a little more on my own than I can now, like pick up 30 or 40 pounds, open jars, and such as that, all my walking just seems to be giving me very skinny legs and butt and no discernible muscles, my DH keeps reminding me that I am no spring chicken, but that really has nothing to do with it, I dont think, muscle is muscle, I usually use 2 or 3 pound weights, and I guess I will buy a set of 4 pounds, Ballys where I go jusmps up to 5 pounds from 3 and that is just too heavy for me, but anyway, it is all interesting, I learn so much reading Sparks, and hope it is true, because I believe it too.
I sure hope your son can get a handle on his pain, and relief, I sure do not wish anyone surgery, but I also know that some times that is the only way. You just have to have faith in him and his doctors, and pray for the best.
It sounds like you are going to have Christmas for a whole weekend, that is good.
When my son was in bootcamp in San Diego, he didnt get out until the end of January, then we had our Christmas. My tree was very dusty, but it was good. Have a great rest of the weekend, Hugs, Mary
