Good Morning; I have some aches and pains this morning, but I feel that I am making progress. I am doing a video in the morning and then treadmill in the late afternoon. My upper body is much weaker than my lower body. I am working on strengthening my upper body. I have to be careful not to injury myself. When I use videos, I love to stay with the music and sometimes I do too much. Now I have learned to take water breaks until I am able to complete a video. Listening to your body is the key. when I took a class, I would do too much all the time to keep up with the class. I did not want to be a quitter, but it just caused me to drop out of class due to injury. I hope all of you get some exercise, but do listen to your body. Injury is not part of correctly stretching and moderate exercise. You have a wonderful day with peace in your heart!!
Good Morning; what a good morning!!! I am trying something new on my exercise. I am doing an AM and PM exercise. My plan is to do this 5 days a week. On weekends, I am only doing one on weekends. I have this theory that at my age and with a thyroid condition, I have to step it up to lose weight. The key is to watch out for injury and burn out. I have been exercising regularly for nearly two years so I feel comfortable with stepping up. I am more fit than I have been in years. Has any one been watching DWTS? Kristi Alley is really losing the weight and inches. Oprah had a show about viewers losing over 100 lbs. Stress can be a big factor in the inability of losing weight. I have hope for me. I am also tracking my food. Every one have a wonderful day. Life is good and full of challenge which can be managed.
Good Morning; yesterday I enjoyed being stress free. I washed clothes from the trip and took care of many chores. Over all I just felt free and happy. This is what traveling does for me- recharges my batteries. I did get some exercise in, but have not ramped up yet, but I will today. I am going to attack my program. I am back food wise after a weekend of wonderful food. I got on the scale and have lost weight but it is water weight. I guess all the rich food just sucked up fluid. My glucose is much higher than normal. I will get that down quickly with eating healthier food. I recommend if you are in a stressful situation, find time to get some down time by yourself or with your DH. One needs to recharge the batteries. Exercise helps a great deal in this matter, but getting totally out of the situation works better for me. Look in the mirror and ask yourself- "Do I need a break just for me?" Have I been taking care of the emotional and spiritual part of me? You are wonderful! You are special! Have a wonderful day and get some movement in today!!! Keep smiling!!
Good Morning; this past weekend was grand. 70's and sunny. Walked about 14,000 to 20,000 steps a day but still gained weight. Had some rich choices in my meals. Now I am getting back on plan. How's every one doing? Are you consistent? I have to learn to be more moderate on my travels. I usually want to try everything - sometimes more than once. any ways, I am back and roaring to go. I am watching the Kentucky Derby which I recorded. Have a wonderful day and get some movement in. I am getting stronger b/c I was able to do much walking and not have the problems I used to have with tired legs. I see improvement. Do you see improvement in your body? Good Morning; I have my pedometer on right now. I am running around the house and up and down the stairs. I have much to do today. It is a very active day. I want to wish every one to have a lovely weekend and Mother's Day. Do you take time for yourself and also time with your DH? Life's challenges can take a toll on ourselves and the ones we love. With a stressful job, one can just jump on the couch and get lost in TV. This has happened in my household, but over time we have come to a place in our life that time is not endless. We can not wait to enjoy life to another time b/c we are too tired now. We need to be present to our relationships. I did not understand this when my kids were young, but as they have gotten older there are always challenges. We have had to make time for us b/c no one else will b/c everyone thinks they come first. There is never a good time to wait and put off for long- something else comes along to take up the freed time. We have had to make plans and just spend time together. even when my son was at his worst, we would grab a cup of coffee and just chat on our porch outside and talk. Communication is the key and reading minds never works. I challenge you all take time with your DH. Keep up your exercise so you are healthy to enjoy each other.
