Laying In The Sun, Rolling In The Mud......

Monday, April 05, 2010

....is what lazy old hogs do and that's me minus the sun and mud. I just can't get my motivator goin' with exercise lately. I'm doing great with controlling the food intake, but actual movement seems to elude me. It's time for a mini-streak that worked for me before. It works this way; I have to get dressed to workout every day and then actually work out for one minute. I'm pretty easy to trick, so usually I forget to quit after a minute and at least get ten or so done and some days I'm real air-headed and go for an hour or so. I've gotta get back to that kind of mindset where I found excuses to exercise instead of the other way around. More to come....

Rollin', Rollin'...

Thursday, March 18, 2010

... I'm on a roll. Lost only a pound or so for a couple of weeks and then this week over three of those ugly little buggers got lost somewhere. Sure hope I misplaced 'em real good so I can never find them again. Somebody had a clear plastic bucket of human body fat on TV back awhile ago and it certainly is disgusting lookin' stuff. Why we keep it hanging around is beyond me. Just used to it I guess? Think I'll head for the mountains and have me a nice long hike if it's not too sloppy and the bears are all gone. TTFN

Good point..Niteman...why do we do it? If we thought of that nasty looking fat in a bucket everytime we thought of eating something what wasn't healthy, maybe it would make us not eat it!! LOL

I'm ready for the hike!!!

The Road to Hell is Paved With Lard....

Friday, February 19, 2010

... and good intentions. That last post was just about a year premature. I fiddled around for a bit and then fell right back into my evil ways. I started to regroup once again last November when I ventured near my scales for the first time in many, many months. Of the 100 pounds I had lost, I'd found about 75 of it. I'm still counting my blessings since this time I didn't exceed my previous high and once sanity returned, I had a place to go. Instead of broadcasting my intentions this time, I've waited for a little success before piping up. During the holidays I was able to drop about 3 pounds just by thinking about what I was doing each day. Right after the New Year, I pressed a magic button and have been losing a couple of pounds a week since. We all know what that button was. The one that says "My Tools". There I found the magic nutrition counter and the magic fitness counter. I've been pressing it every day and I'm losing weight and getting fit again.... so, it must be a magic button, huh? This is a pretty cool club. The door swings both ways, so even when you stumble out the door, it doesn't lock behind you. I'll never say never again, but I do know that if I ever quit using the counters again, I'll get what I deserve for being stupid... again. SparkPeople works!

I so know what you mean. I have been working on my weight on and off for almost 2 years now. I get on a plan then I fall back into evil ways and see the scale creep back up. I am now at roughly 35 pounds below my heaviest point (I was 277 2-3 years ago now at 232 have actually seen 229 once) but I am hoping to see those numbers drop below the 200 range by this summer. Kudos to you for getting back on the wagon and restarting your journey. emoticon

emoticonFor turning back to the button. The nutrition tracker is what I first used in SparkPeople. I had 3 different ones going online, then finally chose SparkPeople because of its vast amount of research, support, recipes and a cute little page for blogs all on one site, very convenient. Glad to have you back your an important part of the SparkPeople Community emoticon

My Tools The Button has worked for me for the last few months. Noticed that success has been directly linked to the attention to the Nutrition Tracker. Those extra few calories a day add up pretty quickly. Just picked up an alert from those M&M Peanuts slipping into the mix.
Curious about what BMI number you reached and how important you think it is to be at the 25 and under range.

I use to have a nightmare when I was a young skinny gal, that someone cut all my hair off. Well, hell they can have all my hair, if I could get that lean body back..tee hee seriously, I know I can grow hair too!
